  1. it was a huge victory for my two home states in america. my state of mississippi got silver in pole vault and my cajun louisiana brother duplantis got gold and set a world record

  2. Bubka did the same thing during his time. Now Dupalantis is doing it.

It's fair way to break World records. But they are limiting themselves to make highest record they physically can during the peak of their career.

  3. Why do content creators say “let me explain”? Do they think we have the power to refrain them from explaining?!? It’s such a bizarre statement.

  4. Tell me that you know nothing about pole vault without telling me that you know nothing about pole vault.
    (What a stupid video 🙄)

  5. Ghat's what everyone is doing in pole vault since the cold war times, for people born yesterday because this guy making the video doesn't tell you to make it look like news or he didn't do his mininal research .

  6. He just looks so punchable… i guess it would make you very arrogant to be the best by so much….

  7. He’s from Lafayette Louisiana, used to see him in HS track meets. Everyone else would already be out of the competition before he even made his first attempt. I believe his mother is Swedish which is why he competes for Sweden.

  8. He obviously got this from Sergei Bubka, who consistently did this 30 years ago in order to maximize his bonuses. Well played for sure, but nothing new.

  9. Imagine when hes the grandpa ”when i was young i broke the world record 10 times and won the Olympics 2 times”

  10. Bolt did this many times, although is not so easy to control their times. But how many times did he arrive to the ending line while softening his steps….
While he could win, he wouldn't do the most he could (at least in some championships…). I don't know id he wver tried to get the best time he could while he was competing…. But I say him giving up many times that he could have aimed for the WR…

  11. You gotta love how people find out how athletics works and then feel the need to "explain" it to other people…

  12. It’s smart money wise but you gotta think like at his most peak physical stage in his life how high he could get if he just went all out
