Are Timber Touch Putterworks putters just a thing of Beauty, or do they actually work?
In today’s video we have got hold of a TIMBER TOUCH WOODRICH REGAL putter for testing!
Each of the brand’s putters are self-described as “pro-grade instruments.” Each TimberTouch putter is handcrafted from exotic tone woods, offering a unique feel and exceptional auditory feedback upon impact.
Timber Touch are making some big claims about their putter technology which I can’t wait to test in a head to head putter comparison with my Odyssey Putter.
If these claims are true, this could make their putters better than Lab Golf, PXG Allan and Axis Golf…but why?

TBH it looks shocking
Lol
be interesting to see how long it lasts, does it need treating/varnishing regularly? Wood can easily distort over time??
We would all love the best looking putters, but its wise to choose performance over looks.
I would question how you maintain the wood, on the putter head, over time as there must be a coating / finish? If you recall the Scotty putter with the brass look finish you had to wipe it down with gun oil.
Other than that it look and sounds good and you were putting well with it – longer putts perhaps could be an issue to adapt to. Price is going to be interesting – £273 with chrome shaft & £281 with Black shaft (apparently a bit of a sale) so it might be slow to capture UK sales.
This was very interesting to see, I have always liked the look of wooden putters but never thought to use one.
I'm gonna have to look at their website and see their lineup. I'm obsessed with wooden clubs.
What a putter. I think it looks great. Sounds like a cricket bat when the batter middles it.
Gary is it well protected as I would think it could be damaged easily???
Ping used to do one Gaz.
Sounds like a cricket bat from long putts😂
Another something a little different from Gaz, pretty cool too. I know a few men who would use them. Be interesting to see you game it against good ole James R, and his reaction lol.
Well done gaz 😊
Like a Ping Danser, could be an eBay challenge? Not cheap though.
Looks a great putter, i had wooden putter way back, it was stolen in France, might try one of these. Reasonably priced too, definitely going to order one
Great show again guys, it's the Louisville slugger of golf, how long before we get a modern wooden driver, January maybe 😂 keep them coming mate.
Very interesting putter Gaz and very well reviewed, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it play a few holes and interested to here what James thinks of it
back in the days when woods was wood and irons was iron,"putting cleeks" and were made entirely from woods such as beech, ash and hazel
What an interesting putter. I need my putter to have a contact sound and it sounded really good.
Great review and really informative content. 👍🏾
Keep em coming Gaz 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Greetings, Dean Larsen here from TimberTouch Putterworks. Thank you Gary for the detailed and professional review. There was a huge amount of work put into the design and testing of these putters and the work has really paid off. They have been a huge hit. The ability to move the weighting to the far outsides gives our putters an advantage that metal cannot duplicate. The high Moment of Inertia we obtain reduces twist and gives a very consistent distance. Mishits that leave long second putts are a primary reason for 3 putting and our putters dramatically improve putt consistency (saving you strokes). Concerning durability and maintenance, these putters are very forgiving. Painted metal putters can chip, where ours do not have that issue. We use only the hardest exotic woods from Africa and South/Central America and they can handle repeated use without issue (one of our original putters is still in use and looks new). They don't mind water at all, but don't leave a wet putter in the cover for long periods of time. Mainly common sense care. A simple wipe after use and it will last for years. Check out our site and contact us through it if you have any questions. We also have detailed technical info on there if you would like to learn more of why our putters are so special.
As one quick additional note, we are running a 20% off sale currently for the holidays. Please use the link that Gary has in info below the video to get to our site. If we recognize you purchased a putter through his link, we will throw in a free golf towel as a thank you for supporting us on this exciting golf journey. Dean Larsen TimberTouch Putterworks
Looks to made from padauk (red) and wenge the darker wood . Both are very hard timbers ( I’m a cabinet maker / guitar maker wood geek 🤓) 😂😂
It’s lovely tho 👌 I fancy tring to make one for fun
Please post a vid here or on James channel of you using it against him
That's hilarious, definitely would putt that in the fireplace, excuse the pun 😂
Just make sure to take James Robinson down on Thursday, and credit the putter. No pressure, mate! 😁
Such a good looking putter.
Never tried a wooden putter, but i have a wooden. The sound and feel off a wooden club is unreal compared to modern metals
I’ve been using a wooden putter for 20 years. I’ve tried to change but always go back to it. Exactly same reasons you just found. Nothing rolls a ball as well as this does. Mine was made by a guy in California named David Musty He’s still in business today. He also uses a lead weight inside. I say put it in play your going to love it
50 years ago as a 15 year old I used to caddy at Hartsborne GC in Bushey Heath and Micheal (my Boss) at one point had a beautiful wooden putter that looked exactly like, and was referred to as a Mars Bar. This was in the days when a Mars Bar was a proper sized chocolate snack bar of course, not the half arsed version they make now. 😂
I've been golfing for the past 35 years, I bought this putter 14 months ago. I wish I could've bought this 35 years ago. The feel, the sound, the look… very unique..very, very impressive.
You should try Honu putters. They were making wood putters that are faced balanced, long before LAB.
I have a wooden putter and had it 30 years, not used it in years and I've been thinking about buying a new one. Got yo say I'm very tempted in the white zebrawood one, just needs a forward press one now
One to try out is a Honu putter which is made out of recycled Bamboo. Unfortunately you can only get them from America. But they claim to be centre balanced like LAB PXG Allan and now of course Odyssey
Should I worry if I live in a termite infested area??😂😂😂
