What Steph and this squad everyone started looking to emulate. The game is ruined with teams doing this that are not good at all with the 3
It would be very interesting to see how this/last years celtics would match up with this warriors team since they have multiple wing defenders, a stretch 5, and great coaching. I'd still pick the warriors in 6 because steph and kd are better than jb and tatum but it would be fun.
Tuff team mann
Imagine Lebron in this team will complete the dynasty, their small forward position is their worst player.
So you're saying the answer ISN'T just illegal screens?
I’ve concluded from this that Blake Griffin is slacking on off-ball defense
Ahh YES. The Warrior team fresh off a historic NBA Finals collapse to the King. Couldn't beat 2017 King, and knew they would see the King again, so they chickened out and signed a Snake 🐍 (KD) 😂. 2004 Pistons would beat this team in 5
shit was truly unfair
3:49 simulation bugged
These are amazing! Absolutely love content from Thinking Basketball 😁
Lmao dray getting techs in the past present and future
Unlike last year's champion, this is truly basketball at its finest.
ㄹㅇ 말안되네
1:45 that's exactly the point Steve Kerr used to make during interviews.
Full W's experience from that era. Sloppy turnovers, Draymond tech, and clowning the Clippers with a 3rd quarter run.
This video is 🔥
You do such a good job of breaking this down and it is the hidden sneaky thing about this team. They weren't really the three point shooting team people thought they were. They were amazing from 3, but it was a decoy for the rest of their offense. All these teams trying to "play like the warriors" must not have really watched the game and only thought analytically. What made the warriors good was the unpredictable nature of the offense. They could score from everywhere on the floor.
A team like the Houston rockets was going to the paint or the rim. They were dead last in midrange scoring % of their offense in 2017. However, the 2018 version of this warriors team was top 5 in midrange scoring.
This big 4 was so misleading. It was closer to a decade ago now but we're still learning things about their offense. They weren't just bombing threes. It was so much more than that.
What this video shows, is that Steph is the system. None of this works if defenders aren't terrified of him even getting the ball.
16-17 and 17-18 warriors were the best team of all time, bar none. Sickeningly good
didn't realize this is the official NBA channel.
Zaza still ruin the 2017 WCF
(I didn't say the Spurs would win the series, but Warriors still wouldn't be as much as inevitable like how we regard them now.
I have been a warriors fan since Run TMC i always like Tim Hardaway and Baron Davis, i remember when we had folks like Nate Robinson and Ish Smith, Al Harrington, Stacks, and that we believe squad, i dont think people realize how much off an intricate part of the warriors office centers around Draymond Green, he has become one of if not the most accurate and efficient passer in the NBA. Just look at him throughout the years and how much of a chemistry he built with Steph and Klay, he knows exactly where their spots are and he knows how to pass it to them, whether it be a direct pass or a bounce pass. Draymond is the Warriors as much as Steph is.
They still couldn't beat kawhi
Professionally dressed coaches. No hologram ads on the court. Running sets to get layups rather than a 5 out drive and kick or PNR. The answer is simple why ratings are down in 2024. The product is exponentially worse. It was once a serious league.
12:56 I WANT IGUODALA!!!
Crazy how time flies. It doesn't seem like this was that long ago. I remember when their run first started in 2014. At the end of this video, it really shows just how much time has passed because you see Andre Iguodala holding his 10 year old son 20:42 who is now 17 years old and taller than his dad at 6'8.
This is the talk when people say Stephen Curry was the best player. Kevin Durant got a lot more freedom and space because Curry was the better and more feared player. Don’t let people change history
Did anyone really need a 20 minute explainer on why the 2017 warriors were so good?
Wait a minute–is this the game Draymond said Truth was chasing that farewell tour?!
All because they was scared of bron 🥱
I'm a Bron and MJ fan but this 2017 Warriors was the Greatest Team for me.
I like how everyone just forgets how the Spurs were Killing the Warriors in the playoffs until Zaza injured Kawhi Leonard on purpose to stop the Spurs from winning. 2019 Warriors got beat by 1 man Compared to 3 hall of famers won. KD got hurt game 5 Raptors were up 3-1 so yeah Warriors were not this unstoppable team like people claim, and Draymond and Nick Young trippin if he really think they can beat 2000,01,02, Kobe and Shaq. I don't even think they beat the 1999 Spurs or 2005 or 2014. So people need to Stop with that. Thunder was a great team if they stayed together i think they'd be better than them
Man, that was beautiful to see. Great breakdown!
It was literally cheating, you couldn’t double team them and they were just too impossible to stop
I mean I can answer the prompt pretty succinctly. They had 3 all time great offensive players in their absolute primes with another player being one of the best distributing power forwards as their floor general. Pretty simple. But I still love the breakdowns.
The warriors are best team of all time and it’s not even close they had 3 of the best scorers and shooters in their primes one of the best passing forwards who brings the pressure and their second string bench could be starters on any other team in the league it was just plain unfair
0:44 JJ Redick gets backdoored 0_0
Hope Ben Taylor gets a big fat check well deserved
Warriors still has some Elements of the Triangle
Kerr learned from Phil Jackson
and he mixed with what he learned from Popovich
I forgot how good Zaza was in the warriors system. Can we get him to suit up for the '24 dubs? He's already at the games!
How old was Curry & Klay here? About 28 29?
LA was playing very good defense. Cannot do a damn thing when Curry is on the court.
Wish I was a Warriors fan.
Klay Thompson would always remind me of Chris Mullin play style
The NBA really dropped his video, that’s dope
Draymond really ruined this team.
is there one of these for the beautiful game Spurs
3:50 syncro run!
3:49 a glitch in the Matrix moment
