Occidental at Xcaret Destination Hotel is an all-inclusive hotel located near Playa Del Carmen and next to Xcaret Park. I would rate this as a 4.5 as there is limited room service and no premium alcohol and the rooms do need some updating.
The entry-level rooms are basic but clean and comfy. If you want more spacious rooms, choose the Royal Service.
Susan’s comments: this is perfect for families as the kids will love the natural surroundings, pools and mini-golf. And it’s a super choice for weddings as you can have your wedding ceremony in actual ancient ruins!
