After a flurry of away games recently Birmingham City finally return to St.Andrews @KnightheadPark this weekend as Bristol Rovers come to town. Blues have won their last three EFL League One games plus two cup victories, making it five wins on the bounce, and will want to continue the positive momentum. Bristol Rovers arrive in relatively poor form and toward the lower parts of the league table, however Blues will undoubtedly need to break through the low block and not make the same mistake of allowing teams to stay in the game and possibly get something out of the game, just like Northampton!
In this podcast we discuss key players, possible formations and key strengths and possible weaknesses for each team. If you are a Blues Supporter or if you support Bristol Rovers, let us know your thoughts in the comments below this video.

I'm predicting a goal fest tomorrow. Everything we hit is going in! Hoping Thor is back. Early goal and the floodgates are opening! 4.0 Blues. Great channel lads. KRO 💙
We pretty much know now that most teams will score against us, we don’t seem to be able to get a balance between being solid at the back and going on the front foot, with the players we have though we will out score most teams, I’m saying 3-1 to blues tomorrow.
This really really is an Alfie May game if we play to his strengths then a hat trick is on the way….
Wins are brilliant obviously but top performances I am still waiting for…we have not put one team away yet, have we scored 4 goals in a game yet. Even Cambridge have done that. It’s time to deliver and Bristol rovers are the perfect team for it no excuses.
Have you heard anything about January signings ?
Not Laird please
George Friend is director of football at Bristol Rovers
Leonard has to play a very cultured player
Thank you both again for you vblog my husband is blue nose and enjoys watching from Thailand and as always it's KRO.
I believe if we get the win tomorrow, we will win all our games over Christmas 👊👊KRO
Hi both. On the Blues, yes, only a 2-0 gap. It needs to be addressed, and another striker would be great. Dykes also warrants a run. Very good breakdown on Rovers abilities. Especially their lack of goals, and how much their defenders are working. Hopefully more than 2 tomorrow. Thank you.
Hi guys great blog as usual..maybe you can do a blog or a quick chat about potential incoming and outgoings in January as the rumour mill is warming up, with talks of players wanting more playing time etc
How about a 3 – 3 – 1 – 3 line up. All out attack minded! This is one of the few ways both Willumsson and Leonard could be in the starting line-up.
Stanno 8 – May 9 – Anderson 11
Willumsson 10
Paik 5 – Leonard 6 – Iwata 7
Davies 3 – Klarer 4 – Bielik 2
Allsop 1
I really really hope he doesn't start Harris or laird, choosing Harris over Leonard is criminal
Thanks 🙏 guys! I’m really feeling they must practice more vertical midfield movements. I feel we’re missing this. Now hopefully Thor is back and we can finally give a team a thumping! Not sure 🤔 if you saw my reply regarding your Keshi answer. On my laptop he is included but on my Apple phone he is missing. Please 🙏 kindly let the club know. Cheers 🍻 guys. KRO from Brazil 🇧🇷
Hi guys. I haven't commented of late, but loving your professional content. Please keep it up lads.
I have a solution to aid Leonard's placement, but also keeping Williamson in the squad. How about just playing 3 at the back especially at home.
Allsop, Beilik, Klara, Davies, Iwata, Paik, Leonard, Williamson, Anderson, Stanfield & May.
Just a thought.
KRO and I'll go 3 – 0 to our mighty Blues on Saturday
im going for Blues 4-0 Br…. i think it will be an absolute stroll…KRO
Completely understand your reservations. 1-0 is a sensible prediction mate. I started to think though….if I’m a rovers player…going away to brum, while they’re in form, during a busy Christmas period, 10/11 fully fit first teamers….i might get a ‘tight calf’ on the way to the game! 😂 KRO 4-0 blues.
Hi both ,I'm just predicting a win , I don't get close with scores , can't see the top two dropping points , so 6 in a row. KRO
If Thor is fit I'd like to see us play a diamond in midfield. Iwata, Paik & Leonard as the 3 and Thor in the 10. Think we'll win 4-0 this weekend also. We have to score 4 in a league game at some point surely?!?
I'm sure I read somewhere that Promise Omochere is actually out injured at the minute, I'm not sure if it's true but that's one of the few opposition players you mentioned as a potential threat. And their fans don't seem very confident in their ability to play after a break, and they've just had 2 weeks off with no EFL trophy game and their league game getting postponed last weekend.
I think we might be about to witness our first 3 goal+ win tomorrow. From everything I've heard about them, it's just pure negativity and it seems like we really might stick one to them, and hopefully Davies and the players have learned from the Northampton game. We do appear to learn from our setbacks so I'm going to say they have and we'll win 3-0, and by more if we score a couple goals early, they're a side I can see collapsing a bit.
I'd go with this team: Allsop, Bielik, Klarer, Davies, Laird, Paik, Iwata, Anderson, Willumsson (if fit), Stansfield and May.
I see Luke Harris has ability, but he's just not showing it for us at the minute. Took his goal well mid week but I honestly can't think of any other moments in that game where I thought he showed his quality. And given I'm desperate for Leonard to get game time, and he played further up the pitch for Northampton last season, if Thor isn't fit I'd definitely be playing Leonard in that 10 role or even swapping to more of a 4-3-3 shape in midfield with Iwata further back behind Paik and Leonard. In possession it'd be more like a 3-1-5-1 where Bielik sits back to form the 3, Iwata just in front, and the 5 being Anderson, Paik, Leonard, Stansfield and Laird, with May up top. I think that could work maybe – but I'm not Chris Davies and I'll bow to his superior knowledge.
Fingers crossed for the win as the minimum, KRO lads.
You boys should be pulling our pants down tomorrow. We have no fight, no grit, no way of playing or identity. Relying solely on Josh Griffiths to keep us in matches will end in relegation. The only interesting thing about this fixture is that the teams that Brum have dropped points against this season (bar Reading) are all teams that Rovers have beaten this season. Still predicting an absolute pasting. 4-0 Brum.
We have to find a starting place for Leonard. He's our most forward thinking and delivering midfielder and he has the ability to be able to play through the lines.
As you know in the last video i commented that i'd like to see Leonard play at number 10 regardless of if Willumsson is available or not. Leonard makes such a positive difference when he plays.
Or Davies needs to rotate the squad more and use Leonard as one of the two midfielders and give Iwata or Paik a rest. Especially with the games coming thick and fast.
I would 100% start with Buchanan. He showed more than enough when he played the other night that he's ready to start. It's so good to see him back. Such a timely boost.
It's crazy to think that Gardner-Hickman probably won't start unless he does so at left back given how good he's been.
At some point we're going to put proper performance together/on and score more than a few and not concede either. I'm hoping that this will be on more than one occasion. I'm going for a comprehensive and optimistic 4 – 0 win. I think it's time to make a real statement. That being said if you were to offer me 1 – 0 now, then i would take it.
KRO 💙
Leonard is a Blues player, Harris is on loan. Go for Leonard and keep him happy
💙 💙 YES 🥳 GARY AND MATT HAPPY TIMES FOR BLUES FANS 💙 BIG MACH SATURDAY 8-1 🤗😄 TO THE ROYAL BLUES MAYBE ☝️ YOU NEVER NO 😉🤩 IN FANS PARK YESSSSS 💙 🎶 🎵🍺 🥂 🎸💯% BLUE …K.R.O…🥰 🎄🎄🎄 🥳….
What about Khela coming in as left back as that’s his natural position anyway, I do think Buchanan will start though. Leonard for me would be a perfect number 10 in that sort of front 4 with Keshi on the right, Stanno on the left & May up top. But leaving Thor out seems criminal! 😂 just shows how much quality we have lads. I’m going for a 3-0 win tomorrow with Klarer banging a header in for his first goal of the season! KRO Matt & Gary
3-0 blues Stansfield 2 lennard 1 .
I think we will keep a clean sheet tomorrow, either A May or J Stansfield to get a hat-trick, i also think if Thor plays he will score, so I'm going 4-0 come on you Blue boys with love from John O Groats. Great podcast guys keep them coming just love you guys. KRO
I really enjoy your blog . keep it up lads.having a few hiccups against lower teams has got to stop .like you say moving the ball kickley up front is key.early goal .and go on from there.4.0…KRO KR kR
Great podcast. As usual. Are there any updates on Scott Wright. Very strange how he went out with an injury but its all gone quiet. I would love to see him have a run. I do believe he is a player that can make such a difference
5-1 for you tmr🤣
2 0 will do me,Alfie and Jay are going to go on a goal spree sooner or later, take note of what CD has said about Bristol Rovers. But I’ll stick to my 2 0. Keep up the good work lads.
This is gonna be a big one Chaps! 4-0
We are at home, the blue boys are on fire!
STANNO hat trick! 🎉 💙🤍👌
