Getting the feel of creating more lag in the golf swing is easy to do at slow speeds. However, when we are trying to apply this feel to a full speed golf swing, we need to exaggerate the separation between the body segments and the club.

Our Sprint drill is an extremely effective way for any player to greatly exaggerate the lag.

This drill involves 5 swings in rapid succession never letting the club stop moving. By doing this and having to accelerate the club from the finish back into the backswing, there is far more time for the body segments to move ahead of the club, thus creating tremendous lag

  1. This is the greatest drill ever. I call this " the idiot drill" because only an idiot could screw it up. The momentum of the club going back will shift your weight for you and also create the perfect swing plane. The positive implications of this drill are too numerous to list.

  2. Looks like she has the athleticism to suit many a sport. If it's golf, then the lpga may have their own Bryson in a few years.
