Michael Jordan’s game-worn jersey goes for $4.68M in NYC auction

Michael Jordan’s game-worn jersey from the 1996-1997 basketball championship season with the Chicago Bulls sold for $4.68 million at auction.

A company tied to Michael Jordan’s financial adviser has been building a massive home in Hobe Sound, west of the entrance to Atlantic Fields.

Martin County building permit records show the home is being built for Jupiter Wheels, a company managed by Curtis Polk.

Polk is an executive for the NBA team Charlotte Hornets, in which Jordan has a majority ownership stake. His Hornets’ online bio notes he “manages the financial and business affairs of Michael Jordan and his related companies.”

The home is just another tie Jordan has to the Treasure Coast:

The Medalist Golf Club: While basketball is Jordan’s claim to fame, golf is one of his passions. He was a member of The Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound before venturing out and opening his own exclusive club, less than 10 miles away.Grove XXIII: Jordan is the owner of Grove XXIII, a private, members-only golf course in Hobe Sound that opened in 2019. The 23 in Roman numerals is a nod to his Chicago Bulls jersey.Stuart Sailfish Club’s annual Light Tackle Sailfish Tournament: In 2020, he and his team placed fourth in the 67th annual Light Tackle Sailfish Tournament by catching and releasing eight sailfish over two days.
