TaylorMade Spider Tour Black Family.

Spider Tour putters are coming out in a new finish and new long configurations.

TaylorMade Golf

Spider Tour putters have been without a doubt TaylorMade’s most popular putter line ever, especially when two of the brand’s biggest stars have been gaming the mallets the last few years (Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler).

After TaylorMade relaunched the Spider Tour last year — and after Scottie Scheffler went on a historic tear, winning nine times with Spider Tour X in 2024 worldwide — the company is sticking with what works and adding to it for 2025.

And it’s not a surprise that after TaylorMade relaunched the milled face proto version of Spider Tour last month in a new black finish, it’s now bringing that same color scheme to the retail line.

Here are four things you need to know about Spider Tour Black putters.

Black PVD

As the name implies, Spider Tour Black colors come in a black PVD finish, which isn’t necessarily new to the family. Jason Day famously used a black Spider Itsy Bitsy, the precursor to the Spider Tour, to win the 2015 PGA Championship and become the No. 1 Player in the World later that year.

However, with the modern update, the three Spider Tour models — Spider Tour, Spider Tour X and Spider Tour S — each feature the True Path alignment system on the top of the putter, creating a strong visual contrast to help golfers align themselves properly.

New counterbalanced and long options

With more and more players turning to longer-than-standard putter builds, TaylorMade has added two new counterbalanced options and a new long option.

The standard Spider Tour black will be offered with a double-bend neck as a 35-inch counterbalanced option, but for players seeking an even longer build, TaylorMade has added the Spider Tour S to the lineup.

Spider Tour S features a larger head for more mass, stability and MOI and will be offered in both a 38-inch counterbalanced version and a center-shafted 46-inch long putter.

Tried and true tech

As with previous versions of Spider Tour, much of the tech remains the same.

In addition to the True Path alignment system, each putter also features TaylorMade’s successful white TPU Pure Roll insert, HYBAR Echo dampener and TSS weight ports to help dial in swing weight for different lengths.

Options and availability

Spider Tour Black putters go on sale today (Dec. 12) for $349.

Spider Tour X will be available in L-neck and small slant configurations while Spider Tour will come in both the small slant neck and the double bend counterbalanced option.

The larger Spider Tour S will be available in either the double bend counterbalanced build with a 38-inch shaft, or the center shafted long configuration at 46 inches and a 79-degree lie angle.
