Salishan Spa and Golf Resort, Gleneden Beach, OR
Mark Swift provides an overview of this golf course on the Oregon Coast, Peter Jacobsen had been involved with redesigning this course that was built back in 1964 and 1965. Fred Federspiel who had also designed the Meadows at Sunriver Resort originally designed Salishan. Greeted by starter, Dan Doerflinger, a native of Indiana, we could not be more welcomed. The first hole has nice water carry of some 150 yards that puts one in the mood for a great round. Playing the front nine through tall spruces, cedars, pines and beautiful settings, we wondered how the back nine could be better. It was.
