CELTIC star Greg Taylor paid a surprise visit to junior members of his local golf club earlier this month to hand out awards at Gourock Golf Club’s annual junior prize giving.

Over 70 junior section supporters turned out for the event earlier this month, where the Gourock-born left back happily posed for pictures and handed out awards to junior members after a busy 2024 season.

The Scotland cap took a trip down memory lane at the beginning of December as he donated a junior championship trophy won by his grandfather back to the club to be presented to the current cream of the crop.

Notable winners on the evening were Harry Mooney Jnr, who scooped up the Billy Sellar Trophy to celebrate the fact that he’d shaved 15 shots off of his handicap over the course of the year.

He was followed by junior club champion, Euan Watters, who collected the junior club championship trophy before making a closing speech and thanking everyone for attending.
