Wednesday, December 11, 2024
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, heralded as one of the “Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World” by GOLF Magazine and a premier luxury destination in the Caribbean, has unveiled its prestigious golf event schedule for the 2025 winter season. These events are set against a backdrop of superior golf facilities, top-tier accommodations, and unmatched luxury amenities.
This iconic coastal resort boasts three celebrated golf courses designed by Pete Dye: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, and The Links. Since its debut in 1971, Teeth of the Dog has been celebrated as the top golf course in the Caribbean. In January 2025, this course will see a significant restoration by Jerry Pate Design, which will include total regrassing, resizing of greens to their original dimensions, and bunker reshaping to preserve Dye’s original vision. It is slated to reopen in December 2025.
During the renovation of Teeth of the Dog, the resort’s other two distinguished courses, Dye Fore and The Links, will remain open. The Links is renowned for its complex greens and challenging layouts, while Dye Fore is often touted as the Caribbean’s most underappreciated course.
The 51st edition of the Casa de Campo International Pro Am will kick off from January 3 to 8, inviting both professional and amateur golfers. The event will feature teams comprising one professional and three amateurs, competing across the resort’s courses. Participants will enjoy a five-night stay in luxurious hotel rooms or villas, with two bonus replay rounds on either Dye Fore or The Links, starting at $4,399 per person, based on double occupancy.
Following this, the 41st Annual Caribbean International Pro Am I will occur from January 10 to 15. This event will similarly allow teams of one professional and three amateurs to demonstrate their prowess across the resort’s courses. Included in the package are a five-night stay, golf on arrival day, and additional replay rounds, with prices beginning at $4,399 per person, double occupancy.
Concluding the season, the 38th Anniversary of the Annual Caribbean International Pro Am II is scheduled for February 25 to March 2, marking the first tournament without access to Teeth of the Dog due to the ongoing renovations. This event will be held on The Links, Dye Fore, and the nearby La Romana Country Club. Teams, packages, and pricing mirror those of the earlier events.
Additionally, Casa de Campo offers a selection of luxurious villas ranging from three to 11 bedrooms, ideal for golf groups and families. Options include Garden Villas surrounded by lush local flora and Oceanfront Villas along the serene Caribbean coast, all featuring modern designs, private pools, and ample amenities.
Villa guests can enjoy daily breakfast, private maid service, and access to a plethora of activities on the resort grounds. Packages tailored for non-golfers are also available for each tournament, ensuring there’s something for everyone at Casa de Campo.
“2025 will offer Casa de Campo an unprecedented opportunity to showcase what sets our world-class resort apart from other premier golf destinations,” says Gilles Gagnon, Casa de Campo’s senior golf sales director and director of golf emeritus. “Without access to our seaside crown jewel Teeth of the Dog for most of the calendar year, golf travelers will gain intimate knowledge of the genius of Pete Dye’s work on Dye Fore and The Links along with the resort’s unrivaled amenities including the new Premier Club and Spa.”
