After the Thompson Park Golf Course lost the city $260,000 this past season, a council member alluded to the possibility of selling the course:
These are the costs or recreation programs. If cities didn’t fund recreation – always at a loss – there would be no ball fields, golf, zoos, arts programs, etc.
