Tom nailed everything about Mollie. I honestly believe the Solheim Cup is when she saw her time was ending. She didnt want to face the music. It was a complete mess. The fact Beth Ann Nichols who is the biggest LPGA supporter for Golf Channel went on Golf Central and bitched about it, is the problem. It was a complete mess. Also didnt help when Terry Duffy complained about the tv schelude for the CME Group Tour Championship. The fact that 3rd round is on tape delay is the problem. They need to raise the purses for the Asia events. When the superstars dont want to go cause financially it doesnt make sense its the issue. I remember one year Jessica Korda played an asia event (not sure which one) finished last and they said she made 4K to show up. She was in the red before she played to be honest. Who knows how much plane tickets are to fly across the world.
Do you think the Cities they go to for a few years – don't like the Players?
LPGA Commissioner Mollie Samaan to step away and Liz Moore will be interim commissioner reports says
Tony Finau may join LIV Golf promotions on December 12 and 14 and he may not play the Grant Thornton Invitational this year if that does not happen. There will to be need a replacement for that team. Korda Sisters may play a TV Made for Match with Scottie Scheffler in Capital’s One the Match for more mixed golf in under the lights and more in 2025 and possibly a trip to Europe for a Showdown there and maybe mixed Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup showcase in Bethpage Black.
The Cyrpto Showdown at the Shadow Creek Golf Course on December 17 2024 will be played between Schauffele/Mcllroy vs Koepka/Dechambeau instead for to feature more like a Ryder Cup Format and preparation of TGL Golf League at SoFi Center.
The best thing that has happened to the LPGA Tour.
There should be more mixed events of Capital’s One the Match in 2025 in under the lights trips to Middle East and Europe and mixed Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black
Now, if the GC fired Eamon Lynch and Chamblee, the world of golf would be a better place.
LPGA need to do better broadcasting the players more than tape delaying them. Especially the major's and CME Champion 🏆🥇. LPGA got chew up by CME CEO for not having better negotiations with Golf channel or better televised. It's quite disappointing from a viewer side not to have live broadcasting. Hope LPGA take it in consideration to have better negotiations for better and longer.
I never even heard of her. What the heck?
Hard to follow Mike Whan footsteps and she failed to establish her own legacy through bold and innovative actions. Slow play changes and enforcement would have been groundbreaking. It seems her accomplishments were what Mike Whan started. Solheim Cup fiasco was an example of her not being in control and leading.
He mentioned the Lotte tournament as one of the longer running relationships but I just volunteered the tournament that moved from April to November and the big names choose to not play because the season is basically over at that time. That may be the tournament demise in the future.
Move Dinah shore back to Palm Springs
No star power or charisma, robot golf that is way too boring to attend tournaments and watch on TV. Other than that, it's nice the women still have a major tour.
DEI hire
Now, can the LPGA Tour remove the clause in their bylaws that allows a transgender man to play on the LPGA Tour? Please! The LPGA Tour is for real women.
