First. Come back o Kentucky. I built a 9 weight rod because I read the book, "Muskie On The Fly" by Robert Tomes and he claimed that a 9 wt or 10 wt is the best overall rod for muskys. Now, I need to build a 10 wt after listening to an earlier podcast. Have any of you folks read this book? Last night I ordered some fly tying materials from your store. I hope to see you all when you come down to God's country of Kentucky.
I found the Treelands tournament discussion fascinating. Made me feel
better about the week in early October I spent in Bemidji, MN.
Same type of weather and water conditions you guys experienced. We tried everything we could think of; shallow water, deep water, big flies, smaller flies, etc. We got totally skunked.
Fun week but tough conditions.
Love the podcast, this is the 1st time watching on YouTube. The dynamics of your podcast are really unique and my favorite. Thanks for your time and bad ass products!
The simms news segment is optimistic at best. I bought a pair of G3’s in 2021, they were bought out shortly after that and then I tried to send my waders back to repair a leak in the bottom of the stocking foot, and they apparently can not? Entire purpose I bought the goretex waders was to be able to repair thing like that as they claimed on their website. Not a big fan after that and being sold to a large private equity firm isn’t going to to help.
Congrats Sean, Megan, and Matt for the mention in this episode and your extremely efforts! Stay Foolish!!
