The TOP 10 Forgiving Cavity Back Irons Of 2024!

  1. James the wilson brand has become #1 with me as well although my choice was the dynapwr forged. I played a rental set of regular dynapwr irons in Florida last year and came away quite impressed. When the forged came out I ordered a custom fitted 7 iron and played it all season and it never let me down. I have a set now waiting for winter to go away and can't wait to game them.😊

  2. Great video, really enjoyed. BTW, I have a set of AP1's, AP2's and AP3. I have been a Titleist man for around 35 years. I try others but always seen to gravitate back to Titleist. My first complete set was the Wilson Staff fluid feel and then went to different sets over the years. I have/had Titleist, Wilson, Hogan, Callaway, Taylormade and Adams. Enjoyed them all, but I currently gaming my AP3 which I re-shafted myself with KBS Tour 90 shafts. With my age, moved from stiff to regular flex. Enjoyed the reviews

  3. no reason to get anything other than Takomo tbh. $650 is insane value. I game them and I will never buy any other brand irons as long as they keep that price the way it is

  4. I changed my irons this year, went with mizuno jpx in the end but, the wilson staff were a very close second. make great forged irons. often overlooked.

  5. Surely James you gamed the Mizuno pro 223 irons for a season I seem to remember. I think you’re talking about the 243, which is the newer version. I don’t actually recall you reviewing any of the 241,3 or 5 versions of the Mizuno pro irons this year. Just saying mi old cocker 😂

  6. Bought Wilson Staff blades at the beginning of 2024. ❤❤❤ them. Beautiful irons and not so hard to hit as you might think. The quality and looks are outstanding and all traditional lofts with no springy faces on the short irons to fire chips through the green. Wilson are so underrated.

  7. I like the retro look of the p7cb, liked the "Prototype" name even better from those early photos of Rory and Colin using a new 4 iron earlier this year. It just reminds me of the rac tp's from '05, which had style in spades at the time.
If it was all a beauty contest Callaway would have to be the X Forged from Japan, only from over there too. A true one piece forged cavity back.
For some of us here in the states it's Maltby irons that are the bargain priced unsung hero's, not Tacomo. Unbelievable forged players irons with a lot of forgiveness (?), and understated good looks.
Titleist makes what I consider serious no nonsense tools for golfers…
Pick any brand really,, there's no junk out there anymore.

  8. *Ranks a 2022 iron (Mizuno Pro 223) as #9 best iron of 2024 instead of 2024 version of said iron (Mizuno Pro 243), then doesn’t even have iron so hits a mp32 instead🤔.
**Ranks Lynx Prowler #6, and is so unfamiliar with the iron that he literally doesn’t know the name of it and goes to Lynx website to familiarize himself, all while on camera 🤦‍♂️ Such a lazy video.

  9. I don't understand why, if the MP-32 Mizuno irons are the best ever, why are they not making a modern version of them.

  10. Hi James, interesting top 10. I’m surprised there was no Cobra, no Srixon, or my personal, money-no-object favourite, Miura.

  11. Good work James. You must be the hardest grafter on YT. This was good. Particularly impressed by the Ping BS and the Callaway Apex CB's.

  12. The pxgs over the blueprint s is diabolical 😩😩😩 coming from TM P7mc’s to the blueprint s irons was night and day for me. Blueprints were so much softer off the face, the mishits way more forgiving, and I appreciate pings long run of the color dot system instead having to take all my standard loft heads to get bent flatter. Orange dot for life 😂😂

  13. I don’t agree at all
    1. 243
    2. Miura tc201
    3. Zx7
    4.t150
    5p7cb
    6. apex cb
    7. Blue print s
    8. Wilson CB
    9. PXG 0317 cb

  14. Hi James how are you; I’ve just read about the
“Sub 70, 859 driver. Have you ever tried it? What is your opinion. Thanks.
