  1. In 2025 this Cleveland driver is now the Cobra drivers of the past two to eight years ago. Plenty of tech but at a price much more affordable than the big big boys. Cobra has now left this class and seemingly wants to price their drivers way up there in the air of very expensive ones. Cleveland will sell many more drivers ( my opinion ) than Cobra, and Cobra one hell of a lot less than the big boys….PS the sound of this driver is very nice compared to the huge loud ( toink ) of times gone by.

  2. From a technical standpoint I get the reasoning behind the triangular shape, but I’m not sure people will be able to get past it; I remember the square drivers of 15+ years ago had a similar technology story, but didn’t sell as most people just thought they looked weird. Kudos though to Cleveland for thinking outside the box AND for more reasonable pricing!👍🏻

  3. I just bought a cobra F9 which is one of the best drivers ever made it's like new condition hardly used it all 135.00 and I hit it just as far as the new stuff in the launch monitor I never pay five or six hundred for a driver and never will all you have to do is wait one year to 2 years and those 600.00 drivers are half the price

  4. I used an old Titleist 907 D1 last year so I love that shape. I’ll definitely give it a look.

  5. Tour edge £300, Orka £300 brand new quality drivers at half the price of the big boys, but some people like a 'big' name and with that the price tag, keep them coming mate.

  6. The shape looks like a more extreme version of the B21 and 2023 Big Bertha drivers with a very long front to back shape. Same idea I guess, the diff being that the Big Bertha has weight forward as well to try and keep the spin lower. I suspect lots of people will not buy this driver based on the looks and the brand, which is a shame.

  7. I could see me ending up 'all Cleveland' somewhere in the future. Already got the full face cbx2 to save me from horrid lies, and the Crossy wedge for my up and downs (trumps all of my wedges by +17%, only bettered statistically by my putter in my 'year one' of using shotscope) They really make golf just that little bit easier (and less expensive). The face on this new driver just looks as if you can't miss, and despite the hunchback look, having the weight that far behind the face is just clever.

  8. Used to play a Benross driver that shape and it didn't bother me and never got any bad comments. The sound of this driver is a huge improvement but I will stick my Srixon ZX7 , drivers are too expensive for me now I am retired.

  9. Golf clubs in general are far too expensive, the biggest issue is mfgs bringing out new models every year probably when you have bought the latest model a few months before.

  10. I like Cleveland drivers. Always performed well for me. I could get used to the shape, it's not offensive to me. I'd like to try it

  11. Yes, for the last 4 to 5 years driver prices are ridiculous. In Canada here about $350-$500 is arranged that people are willing to spend. But when you start getting above 600 and into the 900 and even for the Elite models touching $1000 that is greed and insanity.

  12. I bought a used Ping G20 recently and it’s just fantastic. If I ever buy a new club in the current market Cleveland is on the list. Clubs are way too expensive now, and it hinders the future of the game

  13. I like the price although I do think they are all too expensive , but I don’t know if I can get by the look, but if it went 250 straight down the middle of the fairway 90% of the time I would probably get use to it 😂

  14. Bought a Cleveland XL Lite and it's the worse driver I've ever owned. Traded up to a XXIO 13 Driver and what a difference. Same factory and similar tech but the XXIO is soooooo much better in every way.

  15. Hey Mark, Entertaining as always. I would love to swing a lighter driver, but there's always a catch. Seems like the manufacturers only produce light-weight drivers in high-loft versions. My current driver is 8 degrees. I don't need 13.5 degrees or more of loft, which is how all the "lightweight" models seem to come. Some are as high as 15 degrees. I just don't see 8 or 9 degree "lightweight" models.
