South Africa’s top ranked golfer, Thriston Lawrence, is aiming to give himself a belated birthday gift by winning the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City on Sunday.
Lawrence, ranked 47th in the world, celebrated his birthday on Tuesday and wants to break the recent overseas dominance at Africa’s Major.
The Nelspruit-born 28-year-old had a phenomenal year and finished third in the Race to Dubai last season.
