  1. Average…. you might hate me but my favorite ball is the boost hands down, but I love seeing all the less expensive 3 piece balls because I really want one that is a show stopper

  2. Difficult to quantify. Does most things average and for the price seems to be a good value golf ball. Hence all the requests to try it. The problem is there are so many golf balls out there, 2 and 3 piece golf balls that surpassed the Spalding it must be difficult to rate it higher than you did. People may disagree because this is the ball they use but look at your recommendations and give another ball a try.

  3. I’m generally neutral regarding your content and opinions but I couldn’t disagree more when it comes to the Spalding logo. As far as I’m concerned you need to class it up a notch because that’s a beautiful classic logo. You love the archaic Penfold logo behind you, which is a beautiful logo as well, but throw shade on Spalding. 🤦‍♂️

  4. Had hope for this, but oh well. Definitely a lot of other solid golf balls out there that beat this out and that is why the testing matters to much.

  5. Going to add this to my do not buy list . Even you cat was not impressed 😅🤣So many better options. Thanks for another great video:)

  6. Don’t mind the logo, classic the way Wilson has a classic logo on some of their stuff. If I want a cheap 3/4 piece im sticking with Cut. I know Cut Blue has major cover issues but idk if it’s sporadic. Like im thru half a box and havent had issues… yet lol. And if not then ill just do some Cut Greys

  7. Srixon does multiple 50% off sales every year. No reason to waste your money on these crappy golf balls.

  8. Thanks for the review GBA! I’d be happy to try one if I found one, but don’t know that I’ll be buying a box. Some of the clearance deals are interesting. Thanks again

  9. Great review, as always!

So glad you did this one. I got about 20 dozen of these when Walmart was blowing them out for $5/dozen a few years ago. I think they're okay, but love seeing some numbers!

Maybe I'll keep these around to beat on for when I get an indoor launch monitor next year. Also probably good for fall golf (lots of leaves) and as a go-to when hitting over water hazards.

Does anyone happen to know if this ball has changed at all over the last couple of years? A few years ago, MyGolfSpy said the QC on these was among the very worst balls the tested. They said the roundness, compression consistency, and diameter were issues.

    Thanks again!

  10. Thanks for reviewing the Spalding. Looked just like I remember. It's good to see a old school logo and feel. But Being in my early fifties, I perfer a soft feel at impact that shoots off the clubface. I think I've been spoiled with other golf balls out there to try the Spalding.
Thanks for the review and honest opinion of its ability. Keep up the great work ! Good to see your Caddie hanging out on the green with you !

  11. Well, and this opinion is coming from a guy who started the game in 1968 at age 14, I was pretty amped to see the old Spalding logo! It was the pre-eminent name in sporting goods along with Wilson so there is some nostalgia to be reckoned with here. That all being said…. Nope ….not really interested beyond the trip down memory lane. Too many other options (including my beloved Maxfli Tour) are available so i would not waste the $$ or my time on these. Great video and thanks once again for saving me some $$ because i didn't have to suffer through this ball …..thanks to you! and as always keep them coming and I'll keep watching!

  12. Great review as always. I went in today to get some Maxfli for a friend's Christmas present and I saw that taylormade released a new model of the Distance +. I know it didn't score high last year, but I have started really liking it when i hit one i found on a par 3 over trouble. Now i find myself buying them and vice. I'd love to see you test the new model next year.

  13. It's amusing to think I began playing golf at the age of ten. Nowadays, I receive the most curious looks when I share that my first golf ball was named "Wonder Ball," purchased from Kmart in Knoxville, Tennessee. It even came with a ring to check if it was becoming misshapen—ah, those were the good old days. Now, at 75, I continue to play this wonderful game. I appreciate your reviews—thank you!
