Jimbo welcomes Rory Smith, Duncan Alexander and Tom Williams into the studio after another incredible week in the football.

Liverpool take down Real Madrid 2-0 to maintain their 100% record in the Champions League. Next up for the Reds, fragile Man City who are in full-on crisis after letting a three-goal lead slip against Feyenoord. Pol Ballus joins us to try and get inside the mind of Pep Guardiola.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, free-scoring Arsenal travel to a possibly resurgent West Ham while Chelsea look to show their title credentials at home to Aston Villa.

  1. Feel like Conor Bradley should have won MOTD with thar performance against Madrid. Also it's great to see how well Atalanta are doing, having a feeling they might go far in the competition.

  2. I love this programme cos it's actual analysis of the games rather than endlessly reeling off meaningless stats like other channels. We don't need to know about momentum percentage or progressive carries or anything else that means absolutely nothing.

  3. Salah not turning up AGAIN vs Real Madrid is why he is overlooked in Balon D'Or stakes always.
That is the game where if you shine on your way to the European Cup….it's name on trophy.
Something his "give him the 4uckin dough" fanboys don't get, and will never get.
Everytime he opens his mouth in the media, he follows up with a non existent performance.

He isn't suited to Slot's system. He just isn't. Yet, you explain why, you draw pictures, everything for these fanboys and they will just look at you like you're talking ancient Greek. I don't see him around next season, nor Trent. Surplus to requirements.

  4. Ngl it’s a bit annoying how James rushes the conversation onward sometimes just when the guys are digging into a topic

  5. 13:47 I don't know if that is necessarily the nub of the Salah issue, all Liverpool-connected journos always speak only about a 2-year renewal, what if he's asking for 3?

  6. Anyone who had played FM in the last few years would know the new CL format is great for the "lesser" teams

  7. NO❌u r WRONG❌
If Salah cares more about the money, he would have stayed silent then signed a lucrative contract with the saudis this January 🤷‍♀️

  8. If Pickford can do what he did to Van Dijk and not get a red, when it was completely unnecessary and the ball was already gone, Norgaard should never get a red for doing what he did to Pickford and not getting the ball when he actually had a legitimate chance.

Of course, I'd rather he had snapped Pickford's leg and it still wasn't a red, to actually make it fair, but I'm biased.

  9. Top quality throughout, but the “Raggy Dolls” reference means the tune will now forever be stuck in my head. The lore of that intro always made me sad, but then happy that they’d found each other. A bit like the Superted intro.

Congratulations on stimulating such vivid memories.

  10. at last a channel with educated and considered commentary and not a load of emotional gumpf (think i made that word up?).

  11. Rory is great (pleased he had a tour on the studio) but do worry at the pace he speaks, one day he will run of breath! 😂

  12. Not a Liverpool supporter (or Egyptian) so no bias here, but I think it's quite unfair to call Salah a "moments player" at this point
