OVER a year has passed since the infamous 2023 Ryder Cup but more hilarious stories have emerged this week.
It comes after the release of the ‘Una Famiglia’ documentary, which is a fly-on-the-wall/recap release of Team Europe’s historic win over Team USA at Marco Simone in Rome.

And Ryder Cup star Shane Lowry has hilariously revealed in the film that European skipper Luke Donald gave him some advice before taking to the course in the Italian capital.
The advice was not to get too fired up, and that was promptly ignored by the popular Irish star, who laughed about it during an interview in the documentary.
The 2019 Open champion winner joked in the interview that Luke Donald did say: “[I]t’s important that I don’t get fired up. Viktor chips in and I’m just jumping around the first tee like an absolute idiot.”
It was a heated tournament in Italy, and Lowry was part of one of the most memorable moments form the tournement.
McIlroy had to be held back from Team USA members and bundled into a car by team-mate Shane Lowry following a dramatic last hole defeat in the day 2 foursomes.
It all kicked-off after video footage emerged showing the reason for Rory McIlroy’s heated bust-up with Team USA after second day of the biennial tournament.
Patrick Cantlay’s caddie Joe LaCava distract McIlroy as he lined up a putt on the 18th hole.
Tiger Woods’ former caddie was seen taking off his cap and waving it at McIlroy as they engaged in a heated conversation on the green.
And Lowry revealed that he’d an incident that irritated him when an American journalist laughed at his expense.
It came after the Clara native was shown a good luck message from from his family ahead of play in Rome.

Captain Luke Donald had organised a good luck message for each player from special people in their life ahead of the prestigious event.
Lowry’s one came from his parents which brought a tear to his eye but he wasn’t happy with the media member after he revealed that he cried.
The Offaly star said, “I actually remember getting laughed at by a US journalist because I told him that I cried. That definitely adds fuel to the fire.”
