Una Famiglia in partnership with Rolex, gives unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to Captain Luke Donald and his players on their journey to a memorable 16½ – 11½ victory at the 2023 Ryder Cup, held at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, Rome, Italy.

The documentary showcases the unique culture of the Team Europe family, and looks at how Luke built on the foundations of previous Captains and teams to extend a proud unbeaten record on home soil that stretches back to Seve Ballesteros’ winning Captaincy in 1997

Our film crew followed Luke, his wife Diane, and the players in the months leading up to last year’s contest, as we uncovered the team building process Europe went through following their record defeat at Whistling Straits in 2021.

Featuring Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Åberg, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood as well as past Captains Paul McGinley and José Maria Olazábal, these members of Team Europe both past and present give a first-hand account of the week in Rome and what makes the Ryder Cup so special for those who have represented Team Europe over the decades.

Produced in collaboration by Ryder Cup Productions and IMG, Una Famiglia is the first feature film of it’s kind to be produced by Team Europe.

Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. The European Team are the reigning champions after winning at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in 2023. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder. The 2025 Ryder Cup is set to take place at Bethpage Black in New York.

    there is nothing as big as our Ryder Cup, both for us outside, and for the players and for the team behind it. I love the Ryder Cup and that sense of togetherness and teamspirit

    I was there on the final day of the Ryder Cup. Waited in line from 4am to get a good seat on the 1st tee….and boy did we get a good seat. Still sends chills down my spine. Unbelievable experience. 💙

    Interesting how can the European Team is so proud and euphoric to beat USA when 99% of the players (including Capitan Lule Donald) live, reside, work and enjoy the US land for them and their families 🙂
