  1. All signs point to talent you could see it in game with the missed assignments and tackling.. Busted coverages Major Burn looking scared to tackle at times, a linemen watching a defender go bye without touching him. Definitely talent these coaches get the blame of course but theses kids need to be accountable too.

  2. The o line cannot block for running plays. They are not tough enough. The defence is not physical it needs more aggressive players. Now is time to start playing guys on bench to see what you got. They will struggle to win this sat They may lose to flaordia as flordia has a running qb. And they don't know how to defend the runs. Nuss has lost all his confidence. He will throw 2 picks and fumble 2 times. Mark my words.

  3. A team can have the 22 best players in the history of football. Without coaching the kids would have no idea how to properly run routes. Read a defense. Understand gap assignments. Angles on tackles. And so much more. Football is a coaches game. A kid can run a 3.9 40 and have hands of gold but if he can’t run a route or block properly it means nothing in game situations.

  4. Yea get all them transfer the fuck out the game. Start everybody from this freshman class. Get Garret tf to the NFL ASAP put Colin Hurley in the game

  5. Number 2 hasn’t made a good play all season on Defense. Take a shot every time he misses an assignment or a tackle. You’ll be drunk by halftime

  6. That “I can teach you the playbook but can’t teach you how to have heart” BT was preaching!!!!

  7. I told LSU fans after the USC loss that LSU wasn’t making the playoffs. Most fans wrote it off saying that they’ll go undefeated or only lose 1 more game.

Does anyone agree with me now? I’m an LSU fan too but sometimes you have to put your bias & fandom aside & be honest with yourself.

Did you really think that they’d have a great season after the South Carolina game? One of the ugliest looking wins since BK’S been here.

  8. It’s not just one thing. Are we lacking talent yes. However BT is right being a young guy is not an excuse here. Development. We got guys who are talented and are just playing the same undisciplined football they have been playing all season. Where’s the coaching to correct that? The center has been playing horrible all season. Where is the coaching to try and adjust or help him get better? Lacy is the same drop prone receiver from 2 years ago with no change, he can’t catch a contested ball to save his life. Garret is making the same mistakes as he did 2 years ago. I mean where is the coaching to correct these things? If you can’t develop the guys you got into better players than they were 1-2 years ago and this includes freshman than you can’t blame it all on talent. Which is why I hate the talent argument, because we got players who have been here since Kelly got here and they are making the same mistakes as 2 years ago.

Another coaching problem is the play calling on both sides the ball. Against Alabama being exotic killed us on defense, it seemed like we were being exotic just for the sake of being exotic. Offensively play calling is horrendous. 3rd and 4 and we are running pretty much 3 vertical routes, one intermediate, and a check down. Why? We can’t go hurry up. We keep running inside zone and it hasn’t worked all season, literally all season it hasn’t been there. We run outside and we get good yardage and then abandon it until the 4th quarter. Why? We are running an option based offensive plan but our QB clearly doesn’t want to run. Why not change it up? So many coaching questions and don’t think I haven’t forgotten about BK. Yes, I can confidently say BK does things in spite of the team and himself. Major Burns and Sage Ryan have shown in two games now they will make business decisions, have shown they will put forth no effort, and lack the mental fortitude to be down in a game a fight back. I don’t just want them benched I want them gone. I understand that’s an overreaction however if we have seen this two weeks in a row and multiple times a season it’s time to let the new guys get some experience and let them know exactly why. So they know if they do the same they will be pulled too. I’m tired of the lack of effort by Sage Ryan and Major Burns against run heavy teams did other DBs miss things yes but they atleast attempted to make tackles and take good angles. Lacy needs to be benched if he continues to drop passes. How many touchdown or important 3rd down passes will we allow him to drop before we bench him. It’s not like we don’t have talent. Lacy is being forced the ball at nearly double the rate of any other receiver and has nearly identical production with a higher drop percentage. I would not be made to see Anderson, Daniel’s, Hilton, and Green as our starter against Florida and the remainder of the season. But BK doesn’t have the balls to sit players he’s shown that. That’s a major problem in our program, we should pull players out for messing up. Other teams even pull players out for penalties but we don’t, even if it’s for one play it would be nice to see some action taken for once.

To me coaching and development are major issues. BT brought up a good point Justin Jefferson (Best receiver in the NFL) 2 star, Mathew was a NO star, and the other notable players who weren’t 4 and 5 star talent, but they came in competed, were developed, and seen massive progress. Jayden Daniel’s and Joe Burrow from year one to year two are vastly different players because of development. Currently we got players making the same mistake from last year and two years ago, and it’s correctable mistakes. What did Joe Sloan do all offseason with Garret? Idc if you think he’s listening to his dad. His dad is a NFL coach, while Joe Sloan made his way from inside receivers coach to offensive coordinator at LA Tech, and is now Co-OC and QB coach at LSU. Joe Sloan has proven he is horrible at calling plays at this level and considering Garret is making the same mistakes as 2 years ago, Joe is failing at developing him. Maybe Joe is to focused on his play calling roll, recruiting, and talking to Bryce underwood everyday to help Garret progress. Any guess is as good as mine I suppose. Did anyone who says Garret listens to his dad to much ever ask themselves why he listens to his dad?

The problems for me are in this exact order.

COACHING, DEVELOPMENT, PLAYERS WILLINGNESS TO BE COACHED AND LEARN, and lastly Talent. If you can’t fix the three before talent, the talent you get in will be just like it is when it gets to LSU. Raw, unfocused, and underutilized.

  9. well it’s this defensive staff’s first year, with matt house guys. Also with a first year starter at QB that’s the polar opposite of what your offense was and and a first year OC. Don’t tell me y’all was expecting a natty this year 😂
