🎥 60LB+ UK COMMON CARP – CAN THEY CATCH IT?
We head to the home of possibly the biggest common carp in the UK, the beautiful Waterside Fishery in Chesham, Buckinghamshire!
Aptly named the Big Common, this colossal beast achieved a top weight of 68lb back in May 2024 and is widely regarded as one of the most-coveted open-access carp in the country, so there was little wonder Lee ‘Mozza’ Morris and big-carp hunter, Simon Crow, jumped at the opportunity when the venue became available!
Mozza has been targeting a 60lb-plus common carp since his capture of the Lord of the Manor at 60lb 5oz in February 2023, with the Big Common at the very top of his target list, so as you can imagine, he is buzzing with anticipation. 🐝
But the question is, can the boys catch it? 🧐
Over the course of the film, Mozza and Crowy talk us through their approach to targeting big carp in general, and how they feel they can single out this particular fish and potentially earn themselves a place in the record books!
With so many crayfish 🦞 present within the lake, the lads have a problem to overcome and, with so much at stake, they can’t afford to get it wrong. With plastic baits banned at Waterside, how will they get around it and potentially get through to the Big Common?

Why not use plastic baits
Leave the poor dear's gob alone and enjoy catching any size carp on light rods – play them gently – do not use horrible short hooklinks, lead, braided mainline or plastic – cast effing carefully – stop leaving line everywhere and rubbish (I'm talking reality here across the Country) – carp fishing is just a bit of fun – don't try and social climb and never take it too seriously – p.s stop building new islands with bait, people (especially horrible shelf life cheap boilie, oily pellets, excessive tigers and rancid particle) – cheers just love it – I love it I've done YEARS of nights all alone on rough clublakes and don't drive – the taxis cost me a ******g fortune but its all I really have – I'm mentally ill but I treat the fish like Gods and feed them like Kings!

When are you European lads going to look west to Canada? Where we have lakes with truly wild Commons waiting to be be caught. Us Carp anglers in Canada are only just scratching the surface of what Canada and it’s lakes have to offer. Would love to see what you lads would make of our massive lakes.
Two pros, two days and two nights, six rods. That's an awful amount of blank rod hours.

Does Lee not have any self awareness ?
He clearly does not realise what an absolute plum he is.
Simon needs to leave the dog alone. His constant rubbing and scratching of it is very annoying.
Plus I would not want to be the next person to eat food off the table the dog has been walking, sitting and moulting on.
How very unhygienic.
Was a very hard watch, but survived until the end as interested in the lake.
Note to self: ignore all vids with Lee in. Fast forward scenes of Simon’s constant dog rubbing.
Also what was the reason for all the unassociated music ?
There is no music when fishing, so why do people feel the need to add it ? Especially, as in this case, it’s not atmospheric !

I watch all your fishing vids Mozza but you really need to drop the bait. boats usage mate,it's spoiling it.Your skill was,always casting a bait out of a bare lead on the bank and then dropping it in those vids,were really watchable.Not been funny
