Happy belated Thanksgiving, everyone! I thought that this story was too important to ignore. A 37 year old PGA Tour pro from Danderyd, Sweden by the name of Henrik Norlander has just concluded an incredible PGA Tour Season where, despite only playing in 21 tournaments due to having limited status, finished the year 120th in FedEx Cup points and has regained his tour card for the 2025 season.
The fact he regained his tour card is impressive enough. Most players who lose it never get it back. The fact that he did so without playing a full season on the Korn Ferry Tour or playing in the PGA Q-School finals and simply relied on the PGA Tour events he was eligible for is just ridiculous.
Norlander made 16 of 21 cuts (76 percent success rate), had 9 top 25 finishes, and finished the season an incredible 9th in scoring average at 69.26 strokes per round. He will be so much fun to watch next year and I really believe next year is the year he gets that first win.
