Hey MonsterPeanutSparkle5624: ask Brett Veach.
To be fair, Jared Goff threw a lot of incompletions, relatively-speaking.
Can we stop with the QBs are over paid bull crap let's put it in to context jersey sells more than anyone on the team or top 3 then viewership when back ups play the ratings are horrible because people don't like watching backups then it's the city to be owner gets deals in the city because of the QB especially a pat Lamar borrow they make the city so much money they say when a QB goes down the city loses hundreds of millions because businesses aren't full on a Sunday to watch a back up your paying your QB 60 plus or you want have a top 10 maybe 15 guy
I simply cannot handle the thought of the Lions winning a super bowl before the Vikes. I actually kind of like the Lions, but I can’t handle that right now
Both the Lions offensive touchdowns were on 4th down plays.
Dumb Football Question: Can Jared Goff play himself into the HoF with the Lions?
Edit: wrote this right before ya’ll talked about it.
Micah Parsons is NOT a Lion-type player. He has a big mouth and takes no responsibility for losses. Anybody but Micah in my view.
It sucks to say it, but I could easily see them packing Jamo up into a trade. But not Gibbs.
DFQ: what is it like in the film room after a game when you’re watching an explosive play opportunity that’s derailed by one guy with a missed assignment/brain fart? Any different when it’s you than someone else?
Yet another highly entertaining 42 minutes listening to y’all. Rhino’s reaction when Jeremiah said the non-Brady Gisele offspring don’t even get to look @ the rings was priceless. I laughed even longer than him @ that. Talk about lising the genetic lottery. My dad’s a Royce Grace wannabe while my brother’s dad is argubly the greatest football ever. OOF
I understand the importance of each long snap having to be perfect. But to have another roster spot, wouldn't it make sense for 4th string TE, backup LB, or swing tackle, etc., to perfect long snapping which would allow teams to add another player because teams wouldn't need to take 1/53 roster spots for just a long snapper
What is your guys’ favorite deep cut football jargon?
@olinecommittee would love to have you guys on my pod to talk shop about the Lions.
Alright I think I got your tattoo punishment. If all 3 of you whiff on the Super Bowl winner picks, all 3 of you have to get matching OLine Committee tattoos.
The Lions got Za’Darius Smith and gave up day three picks. Was this the Lions version of the Mark Aguirre trade? Smith could have just bought them two legit shots at the Super Bowl.
NO
I wish we could get Max Crosby 🎉
My 5 elites, Center, left tackle, Half Back, Quarterback, Nose Tackle. It's an offensive team build. My whole philosophy is that everything starts on the trenches. I really wanted to go with a Tight end or full back. I needed at least one strong Defensive Line position.
You guys are getting big enough now to have Vikings come on as special guests. Contact the team and get Dan Feeeny on
As a Lions fan I've never seen such an unbiased assessment of my team be so glowing. I think most people realize the misery our fan base has been through now we are elite from top to bottom.
Excellent job!
I would like to see Boone's football squad vs the mascots for the Mascot game
Darnold to the Saints??
Detroit’s practice facility is outdoors, btw 🤫
Dumb Football Question: Guys that are labeled as dirty players i.e. Vantase Burfict, do they face any repercussions from teammates or coaches? Do opposing teams warn their players about said player?
this channel is incredibly entertaining. O-line guys are the fuckin best
I have 2 questions for dumb questions segment.
1. Is it normal for a team to prepare for a more challenging match in incoming weeks, rather than focusing on the next game thats a much easier matchup? For example texans not focusing on the jets because they are playing the lions the week after.
2. Why most gamplan adjustments happen in the half and not after every drive?
Sam is a good quarterback yes of course but he is no Jared Goff
I agree that the Vikes will move on to McCarthy from Darnold, but it might be more complex than some folks assume.
1. McCarthy is coming off a season long injury and might not be ready week 1 – so they might still need Sam as a bridge.
2. I think it might be the Vikes who give Sam a $25-35m 1-2 year extension and trade him, after McCarthy starts.
3. Darnold went 8-9 in his 2 seasons with the Panthers which looks pretty decent right now. He was already improving then.
4. KOC and Cousins have talked about the complexity of KOCs system and how long it takes to master. Sam is still only 8 games in, and still makes mistakes, as all QBs do, his panic plays have disappeared. He should continue to improve over the season.
5. Sam might be worth multiple premium draft picks after a playoff run, and solid start to 2025.
6. Remember the Panthers gave up a 4th, 2nd, 6th for Darnold to the Jets when he was 13-25.
7. The Vikes will probably get nothing for Sam if he walks in FA, because they're likely net buyers in FA next season.
8. Remember Sam is younger than Joe Burrow!!
OLine Committee shop needs to have tall sizes. I need 2xt
The lions practice field is outdoors.
Lions are scoring TD's 80% of their trips in the red zone since week 3.
Goff has already set 8 NFL records THIS year.
If you Blitz Goff, his completion rate goes up. 84%. His passer rating goes up too. 144.2
Speak our truth
“Someone needed a quarterback” is how Sam Darnold got his CURRENT job, so I gotta agree it’s what next season is gonna look like for him.
