Putting lead tape on my putter

Is it a good idea to putt lead tape on the bottom of your putter? .If you go off what a big portion of the pros think then the answer would be yes 👀.The sole purpose of adding lead tape is to change the weight of the area where it is added .So putting it under the head will make the putter head feel a lot heavier and give you a much different type of feel .(Roughly 20-30 grams of different feel depending on the size of your putter and amount of lead added) .There are then a few reasons why someone might want this 1. Some players prefer the feel of a heavier head on their putter2. A heavier head on slower greens can help to stop smashing the ball too far past the hole 3. As it is heavier you have to apply more force to get the same amount of speed to a putt with a lighter putter.. so this will allow you to hit firmer and putt with a more confident stroke .So as you can see there are many advantages to using lead tape which can be picked up for just a couple of £/$ for a roll .There are two types of lead as you can see with my two putters at the end of the video with the shinier one being just a fraction bit lighter than the thicker looking one which really is the main key difference .The shiny tape does also cling to the surface more so you can see the design of the putter through it clearer .You can also use lead tape in replacement for any weights that you might want to change but find it difficult to find.. while also manipulating your puttter, or any club for that matter to perform in a slightly different way.(For example adding tape to the heel will help to close the face easier and adding tape to the toe will help to keep the face open more) .If you want to at the end once you have added it, tapping it down with a golf ball or something similar can help to keep it in place a bit better.. ……#golf #golfclubs #golfclub #golftips #golftip #golflife #golfislife #golfstagram #golfinstruction #golfinstagram #golfpro #golftape #golfputting #golfputt #golfputters #golfputtingtips #golfaddict #golfaddicts #golfaddiction #golfaddicted #lukehanlon #lukehanlongolf #golfing #golfer #golfstyle #golftec #jailbirds #jailbird #odyssey
