The Omni Grove Park Inn has been on my MUST PLAY list for a long time and finally getting a chance to play here was absolutely awesome! The Front 9 Course Vlog started rough but ended strong considering the difficulty of the greens!

Enjoyed the video, BUT – you need to figure out how far you actually hit each iron. Short on almost your approach shots….
Hole 6 – short part 4 – Hits drive OB, takes a drop right next to white stakes instead of 3 off the tee, hits a nice approach to about 10 feet, 2 putts, and then claims bogey? I need to learn how to score like that 🙂
Listen folks. I’ve played that elitist golf course and stayed at Grove Park. At $200 it’s not worth it. Yes it’s well manicured. But a $200 course doesn’t have traffic noise, houses everywhere, dogs barking, and the children screaming from the yards. Spend that $200 in Pinehurst and get better environments and definitely better food. Asheville is a shithole now, taken over by the liberal LGBTQ community. 150, half the cops quit during defund the police BLM riots. Asheville is crime riddled, homeless riddled, and dangerous town. If you get assaulted by some street freak, do not expect the police to come, and if they do they will drop the charges.
I'm not really seeing the 'Resort' aspect of this Donald Ross course through 9 holes. I'll watch the back 9 before I decided if it moves down on my list
