It's cool to be tough on them when they deserve it but let's add a bit of perspective. Our defense gave up one touchdown and that was on the busted coverage. Special teams gave up a touchdown and that needs some work. All in all our defense held this team to one touchdown. It didn't look great happening but on the scoreboard it was brilliant.

For the first time all season the stadium was listless and lifeless for the better part of three quarters. I'm happy with the win but something is definitely off with this team.
Letās not forget that the QB from Rutgers was the starting QB for Ohio State last year. Rutgers is known for putting the ball in the air and our secondary will be challenged. If we make it past Rutgers, then we have a good chance of winning over SMU. Playing difficult teams will help The U become a better team. Only after facing adversity can we grow. You are absolutely right! We do need a home run hitter at rb and been missing it all season. We can now "Truly" make teams pay for sitting in 2 high safety looks with 40+ yard run instead of maximum 10 yard gains.

Well I feel like the Team has gotten to comfortable with coming back. The defense should be able to shutdown the opponent in the first half of a game and we run and air it out but it seems like itās leak of communication.
Jordan Lyle looks like a vintage early 2000ās Miami back. Like Portis or Mcgahee. Every time he gets in the game, good things happen.

The defense only gave up 7 special teams gave up 7 but got it back with the fumble so overall Iāll admit like everyone else in the beginning I was thinking same oll but they proved me wrong by the end of it
Ward and Restrepo used to have phenomenal timing connections with success, so they need to get back on track! He can't seem to get into a rhythm throwing all over the field. Get back to what works!!!!!

He answered your question in the last post game. Itās because teams have a lot of film on the team. They are this year every game that goes buys more and more of your tendencies that you put on film that teams can capitalize on or prepare for.
Do you know what changed with the defense? Guildry finally put Powell #0 in the nickle, Markeith Williams at safety, Meisidor as DE and benched Tyler Baron with more blitz packages like we did against UF. Problem solved šÆ. Jaden Harris still needs to come off the field. Also Clark and Cook added size to the interior
Super proud of the defense in the 2nd half. Other than the 4th QTR the offense was really frustrating. We better not start slow against Syracuse or weāre cooked.
As well as our team adjusted we shouldnāt have had to Guidry needs to really tighten up if weāll play 4 Quarters on defense we can play with anyone and for God sakes please play the young DBS AND D Brown next week the younger guys have made plays all over look at the forced fumble by Day
