  1. I love this swing! Yesterday, I made it on in 2 from 450 yds…hitting two three woods…and I'm almost 70 years old! I was also on in 2, six feet from the flag hitting 3w- 23* hybrid on a 410 hole. I don't even use my driver anymore…because hitting my 3w 220-230 in the fairway, why bother? My scores have come down and I'm playing the best golf of my life!   4. Tom, what are your thoughts on turning/rotating (NOT shifting) your head on the backswing?
    I'm finding that turning my head is what really enables me to get my back leg straight and keep my lead arm straight.

  8. I'd like to have a discussion around golf and drinking. Golf has been a part of my healing journey and as such, I've approached it from the athletes perspective. I learned that if going low is the goal, be serious and do not drink any alcohol. I have found there is a direct correlation between beers consumed and higher scores. No getting around it.
    Here's what I'd like explained (without judgement please): One day this past summer I woke up and had Scotch for breakfast. Just filled the coffee cup all the way up. Then I got invited to golf (no I didn't drive). Here's the thing, I shot an 88, almost matching my lowest round of the season at 87, while striking the ball better than I ever have in my entire life. I simply could not miss and just kept getting bolder in shot selection and it all worked out. 237 5-wood through a slot, over the creek, and onto the fringe for a look at eagle? No problem. 30' birdie putt? had 2 of em'
    Why did this happen? Not downing a Cup of hooch before every round, no way, but I'd sure like to replicate that ball striking sober!
    WTF happened?

  11. Cool story.. at the range today, in cold, wet Indiana after our first snowfall. This has nothing to do with this video, haven't watched it yet, but I will, however, recently I have been trying with how far to place the club beg
    Hind the ball, maybe even hover it… than I remembered a tidbit you said somewhere. Something about if you were playing a competitive round, you wanted that ball 'nestled snuggly' behind the ball. Do I continue madness OR just trust Tom. Dispersion spoke volumes. TRUST TOM.

  12. I enjoy your vids Tom. The only thing I might suggest is to make it clear how to keep the weight forward. I was leaning too far forward and screwing it up, then I realized you do a small hip shift forward and that's it. Once I got that it made my swing more consistent. I'll keep at it though!!
