In this video I’m connecting my Garmin R50 to GSPro and playing a few holes of my local course, including driving and putting.

  1. For me it worked the first and every time with these steps and I'll add it's been very responsive. Not much delay between strike and GSPro showing the ball flying.
    1) convert license. As you did.
    2) connect PC to R50 Hotspot wifi – GSPro documentation says it could work with simply both PC and R50 connected to same network but I haven't tried that yet.
    3) when I launch GSPro, a little second window pops up and I click to use the R50 for the LM
    4) the R50 will switch to showing Stats screen, the indicator light at the bottom will work, and the screen will show the ball placement guides.

  2. Hey thanks for making these videos. You’re the first person to make detailed R50 videos like this, please keep pumping them out. Haha. Can you test the functionality with the Garmin golf iOS app? Does it connect and work like the R10 for data screens?

  3. Putting does read too fast. GSPro knows about it and is working on a fix with Garmin. This is all a work in progress. About the only thing you can count on working properly right now are the built in HTH and practice applications. All 3rd party is still being developed.
