In this video Rick Shiels puts the most forgiving drivers of 2024 to the ultimate test! In this head-to-head-to-head review, he compares the three drivers that have reached the 10k MOI limit. The Taylormade Qi10 Max, the Ping G430 Max 10k, and the underdog Tour Edge E725.

Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. I can't help but notice that you didn't use the same shaft in all of the drivers.
In a head to head, wouldn't it be best to use the same shaft? You have the means and opportunity to make it happen. Love the content, keep it up

  2. I have a Ping and a Tour Edge driver. I find the Tour Edge hits further and is constant. When you hit it out of the middle, nothing comes close to the Tour Edge for distance.

  3. Hi Rick i love your HIT videos, still the best on you tube short concise and to the point. i have been most entertained this week by the YT elite groups visit to Solina, better than any series iv ever watched, its goingbto be a sad day when i open YT and there isnt any new content from the bryan bros course.
it was stressfull watching you on the box not sure if you going to draw or fade and more importantly which direction are u compensating for the shot i think theres been a few when you stood for the fade and hooked it into tree or stood for draw and faded into water or ob.

    2 questions

    1. why dont you want to play with your natural draw ?

    2. you had some consistency with the 925 max last year are you being paid to use the cobra because anybody can see and i think grant diplomatically asked ..is this the best driver for u? your hitting the 10k max soo much better than you did with cobra at Solina.

    sorry for long message

  4. Why have all brands moved to that boxing glove style headcover? The older style with the sock bit on the bottom were far superior.

  5. Adams A4 driver (2009 model) after caving her face in, I never found the same love again with any other and I've tried them all.. until Ping G430 max come into my life. Takes a little getting used to (different look at address) but once you do IMO has got to be the best all round driver to date. 5hcp player 108-110mph. G430 Max 2.0 stiff shaft 😍

  6. Someone explain to me how Rick hits 300 yard drives in the sim and is then 50 yards behind the likes of Pete and Grant out on course 🧐

  7. For the average golfer personally think the tour edge wins then. £300 for a driver what competing with the two best drivers off all time🤷🏻‍♂️ rather get the tour edge driver and a 3 or 5 wood for the same price as one of the others, no brainer but the down side is us in the uk have to wait till atleast march to get one. Now that’s a joke considering there already out in America.

  8. I think the Ping 430 10k is the beginning of a journey. I'm still waiting for the 2025 models where, probably, there will be those little adjustments to make it even more perfect. In the end, I think the G425, despite an unpleasant sound, is still the benchmark among the latest generation drivers. Great forgiveness, more than satisfactory distance. I tried and used the TM and the 430 10k, but, in the end, I kept my G425

  9. The shaft means as much if not more than the club head. The stock shafts aren't necessarily for everyone. Doesn't mean you have to upgrade to a $350 shaft, but different weights, flex, kick point, stiffness, etc. Do one of these drivers with different shafts and compare your results and thoughts.

  10. Just an observation but wouldn’t the comparison be more accurate if you used the same shaft for all heads? I believe Mr. Finch uses the same shaft for all his reviews. We know the shaft plays a big role in the dispersion. But that said, using the stock shaft at the desired stiffness and stock settings would give the layman golfer more of an idea of the performance. Thanks Rick for your great reviews. Keep them coming.

  11. With the technology in the HIT studio, couldn’t you show where the impact on the face was to assess forgiveness. This was a review of how you hit these 3 drivers not an assessment of their forgiveness – imagine all your shots were off the middle of the face for one driver and the other had impact points all over the face – this will give a better understanding of forgiveness, not which driver is better suited to your swing ?
I don’t want to be overly critical or harsh but feel this was a bit misleading in terms of the title of the video

  12. Great review but I would love it if – before you analyse the numbers,if you had to chose a driver to take out and use in a comp which you would choose

  13. Great comparison. I wish you would have shown average face strike position and how that affected the shot. Now I'd like to see a 10K vs non-10K to see how much of a difference the 10K makes.

  14. Kinda funny, I just went through a driver fitting today. Ping G430 Max, Cobra, Titlist GT2, Calloway Ai Smoke, and TM Qi10 Max. It was between the TM and the GT2 for me, with the Ping close. The TM Qi10 just gave me the best mis-hits, and sounded good, felt good to me.

  15. You didn't mention the shafts in those driver heads. If the shafts are all different than it's not a fair comparison.

  16. I own the qi10 max which i was fitted for.took me a little while to get used to it after my previous driver but I find it it very forgiving and very accurate which is a big plus.

  17. I picked up a secondhand c722 because I wanted to take the ventus out of it and put it in my ping g425. Then i took it to the range before making the switch. Tour Edge never left the bag after. Wildly impressed.

  18. The execs in the Ping boardroom must be bouncing off the walls in distress after seeing Rick disdainfully tossing their headcover to the ground! 🤣

  19. I think I’m gonna have to keep an eye out for one of those tour edges. Used market next season will hopefully have some screaming deals on ‘em.
