There’s a scene from the first series of Full Swing – the hi-gloss, lo-juice Netflix golf docusoap – that shows Rory McIlroy in a state of deep frustration in a locker room at Oak Hill Country Club having finished tied seventh, seven shots back from Brooks Koepka.
He is accompanied by his manager, Seán O’Flaherty and Harry Diamond, Rory’s curiously-maligned caddie. It’s a proper fly-on-the-wall moment. A rare one. As raw or revealing as the entire first season gets.
