  1. Within 5 to 10 years the Luke Littlers will be common place the bars been lifted higher,
9 darters will be like 180s are now

  2. De Decker was 2 legs away from knocking Littler out but threw it away, Anderson wasn’t far off knocking him out either. His quality no doubt especially for his age but to say his gonna be the greatest is silly.

  3. tbf to Bristow, in the mid 1980's he averaged 97.5 in back to back world championship wins, back when the boards and darts were naff. Which was only (just) beaten once in the history of the BDO, (by Taylor). Most of the best averaged in the 90's. Give em some credit.
Also if Taylor hadn't started so late, (won his first major at 29) he could have an extra 5-10 world titles.
But, yes, Littler is the truth, no doubt.

  4. I played this game over 25 years I was good but this kid is💯 a freak he is look if you put Taylor in his prime ag littler now sorry but Luke would win 14 to 10 something like that he is💯 gonna win everything he could win he will make over 20 million in the next 10 year s💯 he is💯 the best 💓 it

  5. In the mix for this title anyway. Think De Decker is the only one showing form that might top Littler.

  6. No chance littler beating taylors 16 World titles … sulks too much when he loses . Keeping his back turned and the winner having to walk to him sod off .. hate that … . learn from Gary Anderson be more graceful when getting beat ..

  7. Never going to beat Taylor’s record. Players are so much better now, it’s all been professionalised. Lucky if someone does 5 world titles

  8. Littler will win a few worlds at best but as he grows older and massively richer, will he have the same hunger? I doubt it. If Littler, Humphries, De Dekker etc..to name a few had been round back in Taylors day, he certainly would not have won 16 worlds but that's eras for you.

  9. Numbers don't lie, exactly. Neither do the numbers of chromosomes in men and women, so why are you allowing men to play in women's darts events.

  10. Anything is possible, and he’s an amazing talent, but he’s going to have to go some to reach the levels of Taylor and Magowan.

  11. GOAT ? Bloody hell , he hasn’t even started yet , Phil Taylor has 16 world titles , Littler has zero .

  12. Luke is brilliant but let's face it the semi-final went all the way Anderson could have easily won that…… And to be honest Luke humphries at the minute is the man to beat…… Obviously nobody never catch up with the greatest Phil the power Taylor….💯🇬🇧🇯🇲👍🏿

  13. Meet the ego Barry hearn. And sometimes it does not know what is on about he said Luke the most consistent but it's the wrong Luke humphries is the most consistent and that match in the semi-finals with Anderson went all the way . But let's not get carried away littler is brilliant but he might not get no better . But without doubt little light is the greatest youngest ever player of all time unbelievable for his age and I wish him all the best for the world championships I wish I only knew who was going to win it maybe David icke will know he seems to get 98% accuracy especially since march 2020 what is said was coming in the 90s in his second book and yes I'm sorry for laughing at you as well David… Most people are not laughing now….💯🇬🇧🇯🇲👍🏿

  14. More chance of England winning another World Cup than Luke Littler beating Phil the Power Taylor’s records. What drugs is Barry smoking, I want some please 😂

  15. I can't see anyone winning 16 now. The pool is and will be a lot bigger, so more talent on the way. Probability tells me I'm right.

  16. I enjoy darts heaps more now I don't know who is going to win..Taylor was and is a great player and all round guy, but I got fed up with no-one else being able to match him for so long, it's like the finals were all getting to be a foregone conclusion. Now we have heaps of great and interesting players coming through, and even the two Lukes can lose now and then. Who didn't love the match between Gary Andersen and Littler the recently, when Gary almost beat him? I hope darts stays like that rather than the emergence of another near unbeatable champion who wins everthing.

  17. Never will he or anyone beat Taylor’s record of 16, let him win one first ffs! I’d love for him to beat Taylor’s record but in reality it’s not gonna happen.

MVG was a completely different level to everyone for years and years.. He joined the PDC in 2007, so in 17 years he’s only won 3 World Titles.. It’s not as easy as you think.

Not to mention the standard of Darts in this day and age is ridiculous high! It’s much tougher than when Taylor first started.

  18. Darts will be like Golf when Woods dominated, noone will ever reach the records set by Taylor, it was said MVG would rule the sport, but over the past few years his standard and winning has dropped dramatically. Luke Littler should win the World title but I doubt he will reach double 5 in total.

  19. its not the same equipment though. The trebles are quite alot bigger now. No doubt the standard is much higher now but you have bristow and taylor coming through as kids now how good would they be

  20. Luke Littler is one of the most gifted darts players ever imo and could go on to eclipse Taylor but there are so many younger players who's standards are so high it will be difficult for him but certainly not impossible. I think most people forget he is only 17 years of age, he is quite simply phenomenal, the sky is the limit!!!

  21. My favourite sport to watch now is darts, followed by boxing, F1, then football and snooker. It's so entertaining to watch.

  22. What I love about Darts is that ANYONE can hit a purple patch in a match and play incredible darts. You genuinely never know who’s going to win any match on any given day. One dart, 1mm out and a match can change. It’s great

  23. Luke at the moment is arguably the best player in the world . But you have other kids coming through , like Van veen and so on . The young upcoming players are the future .

  24. Love or hate Barry and Eddie hearn . But the have single handedly made the games of snooker , boxing , pool and darts become huge sports world wide . They are great businesmen .

  25. Numbers do matter Barry, so when hes got 16 world titles and 16 world matchplays you can run yer mouth off then…

  26. Just to let you know in the 80' s the targets were 33% smaller because of the wires and staples/knuckles. Not saying they are not better today but Eric and Lowe would average 95+ easy today

  27. Can't see him beating Taylor's record. Even if he played until he's 50, that would mean winning 17 World championships in 33 years… Just totally unrealistic with the standard and quality of the current top ten players and the undoubted crop of young talent that will come along over that time span given the reach and popularity of darts, worldwide, now.

  28. Unless he can hit back to.back.9s or.hit three in one game Taylor is the goat..but he ain't ever getting 17 words titles.i personally think in the next 5 years we're gonna see even better teenagers than Luke.

  29. We hear a lot of people saying Phil Taylors record will never get beaten because he didn't have anyone consistently able to match his A game. However I wonder if Mr Littler's A game is actually exponentially above all the rest in the field now in the same way as Taylor's was at the start of his career -if not more so!? If it is and remains rarely matched, at 17, Littler is younger than Taylor was when he started dominating the game so he certainly has time on his side to surpass Taylor's record 16 Worlds. Of course there are a lot of variables along that path most poignantly maintaining mental and physical strength (and health!) as well as the desire, but from what we've witnessed so far Littler has certainly shown his potential to achieve it. At the moment, aside from the "wonder kid" youngsters no doubt lurking in the wings, the two I sense challenging Littler more consistently than the others are Humphries and Wessel Nijman.

  30. I love Phil the power but I hope he can swollow that ego and come give back to darts. Get behind the new crop and be proud the sport is moving on just like he helped it move on.
