Texas HSFB Playoffs | Vandegrift’s Defense Shines Again in San Antonio
Austin Vandegrift loves San Antonio. They won their only state semifinal there & have won 6 in a row vs SA-area teams after a 51-0 win over SA Sotomayor in the 2nd round of the 6A-II Texas HSFB playoffs as their defense shined again. It’s their 2nd playoff shutout, both vs SA teams, & 5 times they’ve held SA teams under 10-points in the win streak. They held Sotomayor to 134 yards of offense while Jack Rudberg had 2 TD catches & the defense, led by Daeshon Morgan. scored 9 points.

It was over when: Sotomayor recovered a fumble down 21-0 in the 2nd quarter but missed a field goal. The Vipers drove down & scored to put the game out of reach.
Game ball goes to: Vandegrift defense. Jerry Jones might want to hire their defensive coordinator as their 1st team defense has allowed 2 touchdowns since week 4.
