We are thrilled to sit down with Jason Pridmore for episode 22 of Pipe Dreams Podcast. Jason is a legend in the world of motorcycle racing, with a career spanning over two decades at the forefront of the sport, now bringing his expertise as a main voice on MotoAmerica’s TV broadcast.

Born in Goleta, California, and based in Ventura, Jason shares stories from his career, including two AMA titles, 21 AMA national wins, and FIM Endurance World Championships in 2003 and 2012. Guided early on by his father, Reg Pridmore—a three-time AMA Superbike champion—Jason dives into the discipline, resilience, and his keen ability to network that have defined his journey.

Whether you’re a fan or rider, Jason’s wisdom offers a unique glimpse into the world of racing both in the past and present that many don’t have access to. As always, we hope you enjoy.

  1. I did a Reg Pridmore CLASS at Willow Springs in the mid 90s. I was riding a CBR900RR, and Jason passed me on the outside of turn 2 on a KLR650. I did the rest of the day with my tail between my legs. And realized I have a lot to learn.

  2. When I started doing track days in my early 40’s (2005) the first thing I did was a Class school. I still remember and use what I learned there. If I remember Jason used to ride backwards on the back of his dad’s bike filming students 😮.

  3. My favorite memory of Aaron Yates is him doing that big rolling burnout and high siding lol.

  4. I listen to Greg and JP’s pod and Pridmore keeps it pretty low key about himself. Very cool to hear these stories he kinda glosses over.

  5. First you get Ben Spies then Jason Pridmore, for a long time fan of racing the insight and stories are first class. No where else will we ever be this fortunate. You could feel JP’s enthusiasm for Moto America, what a perfect fit. It would be great to see Arron Yates, or Scott Russell sometime. Thanks to both of you, your guest’s always seem some comfortable. Great stuff.

  6. I never watched anything in YouTube for 3 hours straight. Great questions, and a very important figure in American Road racing. Thank you!

  7. No way I’d watch anyone else’s 3 hour podcast … except yours!!
    Love the stories!
    Keep ‘em coming!

  8. Love watching your podcasts. It brings a side of racing that us club racers don't usually get to be a part of. One of the best things I ever did was hire Cory for some personal instruction to help me with my craft. Please continue to produce these shows!

  9. Guys! You should have Mark Junge on for a podcast! About a third of the way through, You start talking about how there aren't many guys who were around back in the early '90s and are still out here doing it. I know from experience with Mark that he is still flying around on Hayden Gillim's stock 1000 and super bikes at pretty much every track day he can to do testing on it and he's very involved as Gillim's crew chief and also went over to Europe with him not to mention the Vesrah days. I'm sure he would be a great listen!
I can help get you in touch with him if you need

  10. I'm old enough to remember most of these things! Jason was signing posters at Loudon, and when my 6 yr old son came up Jason turned around and took his knee puck off and signed it for him! Made my son's day! So cool to hear about that great time in racing.
