Great video as usual Andy
I played one for a while. I liked it a lot. My only problem was distance control. It felt light, and as if the shaft was super springy, but that might have been a mis-impression on my part. I replaced it with a LAB Mezz.1. It also feels light. I think that the lack of torque reduces the "weight" feel at the hands. Which makes sense. Weight, torque resistance, both would be felt as resistance to accelerating the putter. Take away the torque, it feels lighter. I know people will say it's only a tiny amount of torque. All I can say is try it and see. I definitely make more makeable range putts with the torque free putters.
Great video Andy – lots of my buddies are buying them – and I can’t compromise myself and will have to try one👍
$720 🇨🇦🤦♂️
This is similar to the Evnroll Zero putters which is also a zero torque putter in addition to LAB & PXG.
Sooner rather than later, I hope sooner a brand will find a way to produce a much more affordable zero torque putter. Great video Andy thank you! Axis 1 is $509?
When sale price is $199, I'm all in!
Hi Andy. I tried this recently. It sits beautifully but I found the feel/sound was awful. I really wanted to like it but it sounds plasticky when struck. I also agree with a few other comments that say it is quite lightweight. I prefer a heavier putter and have ended up with a Jailbird Cruiser which is fantastic.
Great video! I would love to try one, but they only make putters for right handed players unfortunately.
Think I'll stick with Bob's brother Allan….
What??? You mean it's not a 9 wood?
Thanks for giving our new Shadow Series a roll! When we designed the first zero-torque putter back in 2009 we knew it would be a big deal but fast forward to today and it seems to be the way a lot of brands are moving. So we love that our original technology is still unique to our putters, that is being the only putter with the center of gravity in the center of the striking face, a shaft axis that aligns with the CG in the middle of the club face and our heel counterweight. Cheers!
Wished I could play a round with you. I'm a 7 handicap and I have pancreatic cancer , you could kick my butt seriously bad ! I challenge you to a match. Let's do it , we'll have a great time. A viewer against possibly the nicest man on YouTube Golf . It would be a dream come true to play a round with you. Please give it a thought
I have tried this and the LAB, but prefer the weight, feel and alignment set up of the Allan. All are zero-torque in one way or another (different ways of skinning the cat) but I felt that I didn’t have to reinvent my stroke to get great results with the Allan. By the way, keep up the great work. I’ve become a subscriber!
If clubs lowered handicaps then the average handicaps of golfers would reduce, but they haven't.
The average handicaps of golfers has stayed pretty much the same for 50 years.
The only way to get a lower handicap is to improve your technique, course management, psychology and focus on short game and putting, but people just aren't willing to do the work because they are either too lazy or talentless.
I'll wait. Cleveland, Wilson, Your Edge or the DTC companies will produce sonething with a more realistic price.
Justin Rose used these for quite a while
I'm so loathe to change a putter. It's the no1 club in the bag, you use a putter more than any other club. Changing a putter is a BIG DEAL.
Didn’t Edel have zero torque putters previously?
Hello Andy , you have very nice golf shoes. 😊😊😊
Tried the Axis 1 the sound off the putter was terrible got rid of it quickly
I've tried the lab putters at the golf shop but I can't get on with it i HATE the way it looks I know thats my problem. But this one I'd give it a go if it rolls the ball as good as it looks I get it. However It would have to beat my Cobra supernova putter, that putter is the best I've ever used.
Like the old Teeuplo days back at Heswall
I own each of those models also and use my axis putters interchangeably depending on the courses and green types I’m playing
I think you should stop advertising on your channel……
Scottsdale Anser by PING which is made of nickel; it has a smooth face and is super.
