Join Joseph LaMagna and Brendan Porath as they discuss the 15th hole at Turtle Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, a 385-yard par 4, on this episode of Design Disasters. #shorts
Hate this stretch! Such a disappointment to what used to be a great course. At one point back in the day the legend says that this was the best course on the island! Before being totally built up. But not a fan personally! Please continue this Design Disasters idea!!!
No disrespect to Jack Nicklaus as a golfer, but he's such an overrated architect. I've played about a dozen of his designs and I've not found one that I actually want to play again.
I haved played this hole on a family vacation when I was a teenager, I just remember thinking, its nice not to have houses on both sides of the hole for once.
Last played Kiawah in 2021, so I'm guessing prices have gone up, but then I thought the Ocean Course was underpriced at $450 and all the other courses (including this one) were overpriced at $225.

Not to mention the bushes/trees on the beach side, just off the tee. No way for anyone with a slice to play it to the beach and let it come back!
This is great. I’ve had my fill of good architecture discussion. More bad architecture discussion please
