Playing the Front 9 at Rotherham Golf Club with my New LAB DF3 Putter…#playinggolf

THIS IS MY GOLF | PLAYING THE FRONT 9 AT ROTHERHAM GOLF CLUB

Today we’re playing at my new golf club, Rotherham Golf Club, the club where Danny Willet is attached too, and many other professional and elite amateur golfers.

I can’t wait to play and share the front 9 with you, this will be a great chance to really see where my golf games at in preparation for going full time with the channel in December.

I’ve also got a new LAB DF3 Putter in the bag…

  1. Good watch, this feels like back to the normal content from yourself 🏌️. Interesting looking front nine and looking forward to seeing the back 9.
Those chips around the green you struggle with, try a 9 iron or pitching wedge using a putting stroke. Can't remember now if that was a Seve or Phil tip I read years ago.

  2. Nice one Gary, hope it kicks off big for you in December, and is that PXG I hear looking for a face off with their new offering, keep them coming mate.

  3. Course looks in great nick, gonna have to rewatch this on the TV later to get a better look at Rotherham

That putter is hideous looking, sorry mate 😂

  4. I play more solo golf than anything else, it's a lot easier to concentrate and you don't have the distraction of competition from your playing partner. It's easier to work on swing changes/routines etc, at least in my experience.

  5. You need to come play Halifax Golf Club Gaz…we have hardly any trees on the course whatsoever 😂😂😂
No bother searching for a ball under leaves there 😉

  6. Great video Gaz, i play on my own 90% of the time. I've said "I'm gonna give myself a 4(or 6) there" many a time when i cant find a ball due to leaves or the sun. Has to be done mate

  7. I agree Gary, you don't need to expect to win to want to play good golf.
I'm pretty decent off 5 and the other day I went out with someone who is off +6 and the difference is absolutely huge but the point being that playing with someone a lot better lifts your game tremendously, I thoroughly enjoyed that day and played some good stuff because realising that by taking a few seconds longer produces a better outcome instead of mishitting and taking longer!!
Anyway Gary get your glasses on 🤬🤬🤬…..it does make a difference….
    🌟🎊🤩🥳

  8. I purchased the DF3 and I'm still blown away, then again I had the Costco KS1 putter before.
The one thing people need to understand is to no use their hands/wrist to hit. I stick my thumbs up on the grip then ease them on to remove tension.
The other thing that works for me, maybe others, is to use the shoulders for the swing and not the arms. This provides even more consistency.

  9. Ball colour in the Autumn is an interesting one- I find the green coloured balls stand out great but some of my mates can’t spot them at all. Different for everyone I guess. Nice video 👍

  10. Good video Gary, that putter has really improved your putting. I look forward to more great content. Will you be taking more lessons in English😂 or translate some of the Yorkshire sentences that Miss out words like ‘the’ etc 😂

  11. I have a stock DF3. I was not that sure if I was going to like it, but now that I’ve used it, I love it. The only problem I have is that now I want a custom one so the club could be the color I want, alignment markings I want, an upgraded shaft and lie customization. I also want to go to an actual fitting location. Getting a stock one is ok, but go custom if you can. Honestly, I don’t know why everyone doesn’t use a LAB of some model? To me, there’s simply no other putter that makes sense. If you can’t putt with a LAB, you may want to take up bowling or something. It’s literally the easiest putter on the planet to use. You’re not going to make every putt, but you are going to be a lot closer on every type of putt, than any other putter IMHO.
I know Gary is a PXG guy, but I have the Caley 01T, 01X, and the wedge set. Total cost was $1100 for the Limited Copper version. The regular versions are cheaper. I can’t recommend these irons enough. Fantastic! Try them.
