  1. Absolutely right. He was in a comfortable position and yet lost the 2nd set. Making unforced errors, hitting out most of the time!

  2. Wow, no wonder the poor chap lost… Coaches are not supposed to humiliate the pupil on national news… he could have saved the bashing for a private conversation… Im sure Padukone would have happily taken credit for his win…
Nerves are a thing, and it was Sen's first time at the Olympics…
Instead of being so harsh in the interview and insulting Sen, Padukone should have said Sen needs to work on his mental focus and nerves and maintain his skills, only then can he succeed at this level of competition..
    Sheeesh

  3. At one point he has four or five match points but could not capitalise…he has some technical issues which his strength of smash which he needs to corrects….see the footage of semi where he lost things will be clear…it is like correcting bowlers action

  4. Sir you must have to take it as his first Olympic.. there's no doubt in his extraordinary performance. Even the semifinal match shows how dominant he is in both the matches.

  5. Prakash sir is right. Lakshya sen is excellent no doubt, but he slipped after leading ! Needs to realize that…wise words

  6. No body will be disappointed than player themself losing the medal .. years of effort goes in vain .. nobody want to lose.

At this point of time, I would pat them all for the effort they have put in and reached this stage.. encourage them to overcome the disappointment and try again after taking break.

Fix the problem or improvement is responsibility of the player, coaching staff and administration responsible for providing the required resources … try hard and go with the process , focus on the process not much on the outcome – all countries will be trying , only one can win.

  7. He shouldn’t say these things on national tv. It’s like insulting your own student. He might have a relationship with Lakshay that he can tell him. But not on national tv. And he is equally responsible along with everyone else who was part of Lakshay’s training. Lakshay is so young!! I hope he change his coach and get trained from a positive and encouraging coach!

  8. I had seen his match and only thing I observed was if other player counter attack him aggressively he gets panicked and mistakes happend . It's all mental game technically his game is excellent

  9. With this attitude Indian player will overcome fear and nervousness. The moment they play with 1.3 billions people in their head they will not win. They should fight for themselves and the hardwork they put, then only they will win.

  10. It takes both talent and temperament to win. Lakshya may be talented, but he needs to be really hungry to succeed. These days the facilities they get are the best – so no excuses there. As they say – I can bring the well to you, but cannot make you drink. Because for that, you have to be thirsty.

  11. In tennis top players do fire their coaches if the player does not perform well in tournaments or do not show improvement in his game.
Some players, like Djokovic, drop their coach even when they are successful. Novak felt that his coach Goran, himself a Wimbledon champ, was outliving his utility in the player's support team.

Djokovic won Gold Medal in Paris Olympics 2024 without full-time coach.

Lakshya Sen was seeded 4th and Viktor Axelsen was seeded 2nd in the men's singles badminton event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Sen faced Axelsen in the semifinals, where he lost 20-22, 14-21, ultimately competing for the bronze medal afterward.

Lakshya need not be sour on losing to a player who was ranked 2 notches above himself. If he had won then it would have been great for himself, for his coach /team and of course for the country.

Never mind. Good luck next time.

  12. Plz dnt demotivating.. atheletes.. listening this the upcoming atheletes will lose the faith

  13. He is definitely a visionary he will surely develop a badminton culture in india prakash sir was a great player in his times
