This was my first upgrade after many ears✊ In the autumn, I went to a very small crag in Mladkov, Orlice mountains (my homeland, Czechia) with one legendary boulder 8B(+), unrepeated since 2008 by my friend and really strong climber Martin Stráník – @NoonooSG ✌ I think Martin was completely underestimating his strengths at that time, so he graded this amazing boulder called The End of the World (Konec světa) 8B after a few days of work. It’s a pretty proud line and I couldn’t wait to try it out with his brother, great climber and routesetter Štěpán Stráník.

Watch the new episode on my YouTube channel, where you’ll find out, besides great climbing, that Martin is a bit crazy badass because he climbed this boulder with only 2 very small pads, using one of them and the second left aside and put his backpack on it ☝

Let me know in the comments how you liked the episode.

  1. I think if you offer courses to become a better climber, you should also be a role model in your videos. This certainly includes wearing a helmet and using the Grigri correctly. Since we love climbing and bouldering on rocks so much, we should climb in as nature-friendly as possible. Whether you have to dry holds with a hairdryer is surely debatable. It's definitely worse to boulder or climb at night or with music (which you don't do, but many other professional climbers do).

  2. adam and the team make the highest quality outdoor climbing videos period. 4k plus english and czech subtitles. and of course the amazing drone shots of the scenery

  3. I loved the intro! I thought it matched the title of the boulder really well while also adding a nice insight into what preparation it might take to climb a hard boulder on a rainy day.

  4. the route name paired with chosen music choice and the cross in the shots…well done editing/video team!!

  5. Another comment for Terranova revisit! A collab with Jane and Will over there in spring would be 10/10!!!

  6. I was coming from a classical music video. Smooth transition! And great video, as always. Adam's enthusiasm is so communicative. So communicative that today, BEFORE watching this video, I repeated a V3 6 times at my local gym.

  7. Radness. Ty!
i recall bouldering b4 crash pads were invented… when they appeared, 1 old school crash pad was a burst of luxury and confidence…. We were like, what a great idea! Why didn’t we think of this?!?

  8. Too much flexing here – casually OS 8a with downclimbing to find better way, slimbing 7 times an 8B+ boulder for training purposes. Chill out bruh

  9. As usual a fantastic quality film with a great story. I learn so much about climbing history from this channel and really appreciate the effort you put into celebrating other climbers and little-known climbs.

  10. As usual, amazing video with creative cinematic choices and soundtracks, but also great climbing! I particularly loved the beginning! The name of the line and the climb itself looks really cool 🙂 Congrats, Adam. You are not getting old!

  11. It's not official but he did think Excalibur could be 9c , just can't upgrade it because he hasn't done it.

  12. you are such a nice person. I hope I can meet you once in real life. congrats on the 7 sends😂😊

  13. Nice climb Adam. I was wondering if you can make a statement on the fact that drying holds, I mean artificially with hair dryer or whatever, is not relevant on every stone. Our main concern is about Fontainebleau. We saw too many people try to do the same thing in the forest and sandstone doesn't stand that kind of process. We have more and more broken holds, partly because of that. When they saw inspiring climbers like yourself drying rocks or climbing at night, they feel like they can do the same every where. We are struggling with that in Fontainebleau and I bet it is the same problems in all sandstone areas. Thanks for everything you've done for the climbing community, hope we saw you around in Fontainebleau. Best
