Why is NOBODY buying the BEST IRONS of 2024?

  1. I have moved from Takomo 101s to Dynapower Forged and the feeling is phenomenal. The 101s were great irons but the forged feeling on the Wilson's is just another level up and happy to say I got six irons for under £600 which was fantastic value. I have also purchased the wedges as well which are also forged and have such a good feeling. Wilson are so good.

  2. I'm playing the CB, it's a great set of clubs… maybe better than I should be playing. Hard to justify a more forgiving option when these feel so good.

  3. Wilson the most underrated brand in golf. They need to offer more demo days in order to let people try their products and they will be stunned to learn that that they can compete with any brand but at sensible prices. Wilson seriously,? Seriously! I’m ordering the Dynapwr forged irons and the woods for next year look stunning. Great review get them in your bag James! Plus video on Wilson wedges too please please!

  4. I've had the CB's for about 6 months now, and really feel confident in hitting them. These are so soft when hit in the middle, had Titleist previously which kept jarring my hands with slight off hits. I won't be changing these for awhile.

  5. I’ve always wanted to try some Wilson’s. Great looking and affordable. Dunno when I’ll be in the market for irons as I love my new p770

  6. i have wilson MB 9-7 and 6 to 4 in CB. On the face they have the same milled design as the Tiger p7TW which are a 2k set of golf clubs. They take a while to get use too coming from titleist 620 mb's but once dialed in are just as good. Feel wise is in comparison to a vokey wedge, not the softest blades in the world but they perform very well. Wilson also claim the small cavity in both irons are to enable not missing to the left with an over hook. i would just advise getting getting full CB's as I would say they spin moore than any other balde when i tired them against my old 620mb's. i would say though the wilsons for blade standard are not as forgiving as the 620mb but perform better when struck properly

  7. Another amazing iron review James and the Wilson iron line up looks stunning, if you put Rory or Tiger in Wilson irons then I’m sure more people would go out and buy them

  8. I play the wilson d9 forged …love them really fantastic irons, apart from the head of my 7 iron flying off and landing in a lake and wilson doing nothing about it I love them

  9. Wilson irons are unbelievable, I've tried the c300 forged the fg tours even the fg tour 100 blades all of them are fantastic, I had a di5 2 iron was my favourite club for along time stupidly got rid of it and never found another one

  10. The blades of the old iteration were as forgiving as the CB's……almost. So much so, you wouldn't bother with the CB's. I played with them for 3 years, best clubs I've used. Now I've switched to T100's which certainly have more forgiveness and feel great but I'm already missing my Wilson Staff blades….

  11. I was given an old set of Di5s with terrible grips. I bought Temu grips (excellent by the way) and they are like new. I am astonished how well they perform after all these years, and I cannot feel any real difference between them and my Cobra Darkspeed🙂

  12. This is the brand I’m going for. I think they are a beautiful looking. Never thought about the wedges, so it would be great to see what you think of them.

  13. Cab you find some old Scratch Golf irons (SB1, AR1, EZ1) in your desired grind specs (yes irons in 3 grind specs, deep/neutral/thin divots).
Some of them were handmade by Don White, whose handground clubs were for some of gofs best, and for some of us, they duffers too😅
I believe they guys that handground clubs started a new company called National Custom Works but they are crazy expensive 😮

  14. I bought the previous model CB this year at a very reasonable price and they are superb!! Test the wedges James. I need some new ones next year and I fancy a change from my RTX

  15. Play off 14 and use the CBs , best irons ever for distance control . Bought for £479 custom fit ,KBS shafts . ( bought old model a month before new one came out) . Already won my money back this year in prizes. !!

  16. The sad reality is that Golfers at the amateur level care about image even to their buddies in the weekends. They just were never marketed asa too brand and logo looks very mid.

  17. I got a set of FG V6 back when everyone was raving about them. To me, they were ok. TBH, I think the AMT shafts didn't work for me. These days, I feel that forged blades (MB or CB) comes down to aesthetics. There's only so much you can do to a couple hundred grams of steel at the end of a stick. Sure, you can play with leading edge relief, mass distribution, head shape, offset, etc. But there really don't stray that far from a basic formula. So if you want blades and can play blades, pick the ones you find most appealing because you probably have the skill to adapt to any of them, especially if you get fitted. Plus, AFAIK only one of you said that they were going in the bag this year and I'm not sure they are still in play. Wilson, Sub70, Proto, Miura, Epon, Vega, Takomo, Toura, New Level, Hogan… there're a lot of options for filling your bag if you don't want mainstream sticks.

  18. Previous iteration of the Staff Model Blades looked even better. Possibly the best-looking irons ever made. I hit a mate's set, and they had far more forgiveness than they had any right to being that thin.
