Ant got that FU money
The NBA has ALWAYS gone through ups and downs, as long as I've been alive. They need to MOVE the 3 point shot OUT, at least for a few years. That should force coaches to ONLY green light TRUE shooters for 3s, like it used to be. Also, poor shooters will be too gun shy to jack up bricks from the 3 point line. Back in the day if a non-shooter shot a brick, he'd be benched IMMEDIATELY.
I miss when long 3s or a bunch of 3s were a Heat Check and was something special thats long gone

Analytics? What a terrible video u want ANT to shoot 2’s and mid range on a team with gobert and Randle? Such surface level analysis. Last year he had more spacing with KAT to perform at THAT playstyle he NEEDS to shoot more 3’s on THIS current team come on guys ur better than this
I have never agree with any two people more than I do with this topic. I still keep up with almost every sport but It has been nearly three years since I've watched a whole NBA game and almost a decade since I've watched a whole MLB game. MLB used to be my favorite sport to watch.
At some point the NBA has got to do something about 3s. Teams jacking up 3s all game is so boring. I grew up watching 90s basketball and it was way more satisfying than today's game.
I can't watch nba before april. 1) no effort on D 2) the game has become way too monotonous with the jacking up of 3s. talk about boring. Honestly, it's getting to the point that I'd like to see them experiment a bit. Maybe do the in season tourney…with NO THREE POINT LINE. See what happens…

Stat padding,shooting an insane amount of 3’s and thinning if u Avg more points makes u a better player… is what ruined the game! (Plus all these players are Soft AF)

I agree. That’s why a lot of teams who are good struggle in the playoffs where the games slow down refs are more lenient.
Every sports league has aboandoned the purist or knowledgeable fan to cater to casuals. Casuals tend to spend more becauzd they dont know.
NBA is unwatchable thanks to Lebron, Adam Silver, no defense, refs not calling traveling, too many 3’s, a ruined all star game, stupid play in tournament, and stupid playoffs play in that makes sure 70 percent of league makes the playoffs. I use to be a NBA super fan. So far this season I haven’t watched a full game

Thats why fotbal (soccer) is the best sport in the world, its hard to score , and they dont have fckng timeouts, they play 2 halfs of 45-50 min ish with no time outs

It’s not the nerds, the nerds just solved the math problem. If ant doesn’t take the 3s and his opponent does, he loses.
My solution not only for the 3 point spamming but for the NBA product as a whole are the following:
1 Turn to Olympic/FIBA size court and Rules
Mostly everyone liked how Basketball games that the USA played against Serbia and France in the last 2 rounds. KG even said it had a "90s feel" which is the "Golden era of Basketball.
Smaller court dimensions means less space in the half court to get up the 3 and thus would bring back the midrange a bit more. Less minutes in the game also means your possessions mean more so chucking up a 3 wont cost you the game as much as in a NBA 48 minute game vs a Olympic/FIBA 40 minute game
you get the best of both worlds. You still will see the 3 in the game for those that like it such as myself and you also get the old school Big and midrange game back.
This also means call the game strictly by the rule book. NO HARDEN FOUL BATTING OR 5 STEP TRAVEL.
2 Get rid of the Draft. Institute Promotion and Relegation. To get to the point, copy and Paste England Futbol Pyramid Structure and Academy system onto Basketball
Do not know how this would affect highschool, aau and college Basketball but the system that is in place at the moment does not develop the best "Basketball Players". A Teenager thats 14/15 that has all the credentials to play in the NBA right now should be allowed to and should not be restricted because of his age.
3 Get rid of the moronic NBA Cup and get rid of the Playoffs and in exchange just reward the Championship to the team that wins the most regular season games and also have that team along with the 3 teams that finish behind it qualify and play for the Champions league/Club World Cup system
Noah Lyles is right, NBA Champion IS NOT the WORLD CHAMPION. You need a Club World Cup to determine that. You also need this system to determine who is the very best Player "In the World"
4 Get rid of the salary cap.
5 Promote International Competition Basketball More that being FIBA and Olympics which are the International side of Basketball.
If NBA make these changes, Basketball might Rival Futbol as the World Sport.
Basically NBA needs to Futbolized the Sport. Baseball needs to do the same.

Same problem in Nascar. Analytics tell drivers to go 70% and stay in line to try to save enough gas to save a pit stop. Might improve chances of winning but terrible entertainment .

Too much of analytics is simply creating high paying jobs for influential families kids. Prove me wrong. Poisoning baseball as well. Sure there is a place for analytics, but it has become waaaay overused.
