Dumbest rule? Then cheating is ok? Total respect for him. He owned up to his mistake. He admitted he made the mistake. One stroke could be worth $100,000+. One stroke! He simply did, basically a "tap in" on a par 3 for a bogie and forgot about it. He wrote down "3" for a par. He did nit par it. Everyone sometime in their golf game has done the same. He'll beimg laying more attention from now on.
Then the fact he could have possibly fixed that mistake but left the "card" room after learning about his mistake.
Either way it was his fault.
Golf is a "gentleman's" game. They take off their hats at the 18th and shake hands. Gentleman never shake hands with gloves on or wearing any kind of hat. If one can not be a gentleman on the course stay off it. Simple as that. Know the rules. ALL OF FHEM!
YES. Did the right thing! You are responsible for your score.

Dumbest sports video in all of sports you must sign a correct scorecard.
