  1. Ordered my 101s and wasn't sure which shaft to choose. I got the Tour Lite S and love them. You do feel the weight of the club head more, which I like. Great irons and wedges! I've used them for two months and have NO regrets in my purchase. Thank you Tim.

  2. KBS Tour Lite is GOATed, IMO. I play a stiff Tour Lite and am a high swing speed player, it’s awesome.

  3. Loved the video Tim even the start when you dropped the club. How about doing one with the driver with the different shafts

  4. Will the 101Ts ever be available for lefties? Want to get out of GIs but also a little worried about forged clubs.

  5. I ended up getting a set of 101t irons with the regular KBS Tour shafts in stiff. I kinda wish I got them with the lite shafts instead

  6. I did a fitting with kbs cuz i had disc replacement in my neck and changed my swing a little and went from kbs tour 120 S to kbs tour lite 115 XS and play 301 combo set. In my fitting only difference besides feel of the slight weight change was what i was looking for which was slightly higher ball flight due to the flex point and point of impact. I hope people dont see this video and buy tour lite shafts hoping for same results because you wont get them. So many swing factors go into what a shaft will do for you. The shaft is easily 80% of the performance of the club.

  7. Are you talking swing weight or total weight when you're talking about it being heavier?
I can't believe you got through a whole video without specifying.

  8. Great start Tim. Yeah not much difference between the shafts. I guess though as you said," its what you feel better playing, the lighter or the heavier. I would prefer the lighter shafts. Interesting try out though.

  9. Could you please configure a set for senior golfers {70 plus age group}? Curious to see what Takomo would recommend. Maybe with graphite shafts and arthritic grips? Thanks and great videos!

  10. Tim
You would expect that a lighter shaft would give you a bit more club head speed and therefore ball speed and carry distance. Interesting that you saw more ball speed from increased efficiency rather than club head speed. Overall though this suggests that the slightly lighter weight is better for your swing and strike.

  11. I bought the 101t with tour lite. Big mistake. Dont like them at all. I now realise i need a much heavier shaft. clubs will have to go infortunately and will put the ap2s back in the bag.

  12. Not a good comparison if youre gonna test the Tour Lite is an S flex youd have to test the Tour in a R flex to be a truer comparison. Flex isnt a good representation of a shaft. Weight and bend profile are far more important. For example the popular Modus NS Pro Tour 120 Stiff flex is softer and lighter than a DG R300 which is a regular flex. And a DG R300 feels heavier than a DG 120 S300 even though its not lignter

  13. I’ve been begging for anyone to answer this on the custom 101’s there is an options for KBS MAX Stiff but I can’t find any info on it. Can someone please please provide me with a comparison for it and the KBS tour Lite X-Stiff

  14. Love these “test”, but it seems everyone that does them will get rid of the worst shots. We want to manage our misses so why not keep the 5 worse shots and then compare. Just a thought, maybe nobody wants to see that.
    Great video

  15. Looks to me the white has a tighter dispersion and. More consistance distance. So clearly the better shaft for you. I think that was tour light

  16. Poor video, you're all over the place with the numbers never showing an absolute side by side. Pretty hair though

  17. I am not you and you are not me sums it up perfectly. The only way to know if a shaft / head combination works for you is to get fitted. That is where Takomo fall down.

  18. Please, please do a video with data/information on the obsidian graphites all the way up to 115g in the 101s and/or 101Ts. It would be very helpful. Thanks.

  19. Hogan APEX shafts were light as well. Thanks for the comparison. I switched from the KBS Tour 120 S in my old clubs to the 201 with Tour Lite S. I took about a month or 15 rounds to get comfortable with the feel. The shaft /club combo is very smooth.

  20. A comparison video between two shafts, and the shaft weights and specs are not even discussed? A 10 second blurb or a screenshot showing the differences is it all it takes my friend. This is pretty basic stuff

  21. Got the 101s with tour regular and are fantastic when you stay committed to the swing. Not so great when you take some sting out . My next set will be the lite regular as I’m getting older but love the clubs
