Been waiting for you to review this. Been toying with getting this aswell, leaning towards the 7 way player 5 pro DXR
Thx for all ur great reviews
I’ll keep asking, Shapland bag review please!
The thing I like about Vessel bags is they seem like they have gone above and beyond in the attention to detail department. My wife and I both use cart bags for the most part. Mine is a Vessel, hers is a Ping. You can set mine on a flat surface and feel confident it won’t fall over unless you make an effort to knock it over. My wife’s bag will fall over if the clubs aren’t sorted right, she’s got too many balls in the bag, or if there’s just a slight unevenness to the ground. In addition, the club organizer on the Vessel cart bag is an awesome attachment so I don’t have to listen to my clubs bang into each other when traversing rough ground, the premium materials feel like they’ll last a lifetime, and they even included a fancy bottle opener that blends seamlessly into the bag.
If you can get over the price tag and the extra weight isn’t going to be an issue for you, I just don’t think there’s another bag maker out there that does it better.
I agree the Vessell bag looks great but you are also correct that Caddies hate the Vessel bags because of the weight
Thanks for another thorough review! Was hoping you could answer a question since you're the only reviewer that touched on this and I noticed it as well – What's the difference between the 7 full length dividers on the 7 way V Pro vs the 3 full length dividers on the 6 way IV Pro? I bought the IV Pro a week before this bag was announced and saw every slot was separated with full length dividers (1 vertical , 2 horizontal = 3), so I'm wondering how the V pro is set up to have 7 dividers, if that makes sense? With just adding the putter, it seems like the V pro would have 4 full length dividers now. I returned my IV Pro because my clubs often wouldn't make it to the bottom since it would catch on the raised plastic separators of the bottom rotator base, but if the new divider set up fixes that I would pull the trigger on this bag for sure.
You should consider including a waterproof question on your golf bag quiz
would love to see a review of the Asher golf bags!
The greatest golf bag of all time
I really want to see a review of the Jones Rider cart bag.
Got the regular player IV in grey. Love it and will never change until it dies on me😂
7.5lbs, holy jesus.
I bought it and returned it and am sticking with the regular 4. Its way tooooo big for a stand bag.
No DXR version? I have the player 4 pro DXR and it great!
WHERE THE FRICK DO YOU GET A 52 HI TOE?! I CANT FIND A 52 ON DRUMMOND GOLF OR ANYTHING IM IN AUS
Always love your Vessel reviews. My Player4 Pro DXR arrived back in March and yes its a tad heavy but everything else is just the best in the business. Even with the Cart strap, which btw may interfere with clubs in and out due to the fact its around the bag, I'm still pleased I got the 4pro. The 4 is already weighty, i think i would find the 5 unworkable for carry.
At 9 lbs id rather get a cart bag. Im not walking 18 with a 9lb bag
This was an excellent review. I feel like I could happily act on the information you provided. Also, the Player IV is the best bag I’ve owned to date but I do switch to my Hoofer if I’m traveling. Thanks!
Do you think the upgrades over the 4 are worth the higher price tag, or would it be better to pick up a 4 on a discounted price?
