The two city-owned golf courses that remain open are offering reduced rates starting Friday, according to Madison Parks.

The city hasn’t set an end date for when Yahara Hills and Odana Hills will close for the season, said Maddy Brickson, a Yahara assistant pro. Those courses will close when it starts snowing and the weather makes them unplayable, she said.

Monona and The Glen Golf Park closed for the season on Sunday, she said.

Last year Yahara Hills and Odana Hills closed on Nov. 22, Brickson said.

The discounted rates for Yahara, which is open while under construction, are 9 holes walking $11.50, 9 holes riding $21.50, 18 holes walking $19, and 18 holes riding $34.

For Odana Hills: 9 holes walking is $14, 9 holes riding $24, 18 holes walking $24, 18 holes riding $44.

The $5 pass-holder fee is being waived for both courses and golfers who are part of the loyalty program will get lower rates.

Loyalty cards, which provide discounted rates on each visit, are $50, or $40 every year after that if renewed, Brickson said.
