For those who say that the offense getting healthy cant fix a bad defense, Youre wrong. If our weakness on defense is the run defense(which it is) than having an offense that can actually score points help prevent you from falling behind. What makes a team run more? Playing with a lead. Have you noticed the saints have been playing from behind recently? In week 1 and week 2 the saints had the number 1 rush defense. Why? Because we were starting so fast, effectively eliminating the run game for our opponents. Context matters. If we can score some points on Sunday, get a lead for once, our opponent(the chargers) will have to apondon the run, and throw the ball more. Our secondary is our strength. So yes getting our offense healthy can go a long way in helping our defense.

To be honest I feel like SD is going to win. Chargers have a better def a better coach and a better QB. Yep another 50 burger coming? possibly.. saints win …highly unlikely…not impossible but unlikely
Man PFF analysis has slipped HARD since the old boys left.
Even if the saints were 100% it don't matter the blueprint is out there…ever since the eagles game defenses have been going blitz crazy and succeeding..expect that to continue until our QBs Carr or rattler learn where to throw the ball on a blitz. Then the game will slow down for them.
The chargers average 17 points a game. Big deal the key word is average after they drop a 50 burger on us they will average 21 points a game. Cant go by those stats. The chargers are at home with a better qb and coach and def
With extra rest and Werner back there's no way in hell the defense looks as bad as it has the last two weeks. Regardless of what people think about Adebo, losing him sucks…plus we released Abram for some reason (???????). Still, Chargers WR corps is as bad as ours was against Denver lol. Injuries and a bunch of nobodies. Stack the box, play smart, and maybe with our offensive pieces back we can pull through this one.

This week is can the Saints D remember how to play… I think they’ve been trying to ‘stretch’ their D to find more big plays / turnovers to keep pressure off the offense… well that was a dumb plan, if they had just played their normal mindset on defense they would have won… yeah like 6-1 if Allen would put down the HC hat and wear the DC hat he’s good at…
Second is can Rattler connect with these weapons…
If (almost) everyone’s back can Rattler connect those dots somewhat similar to how Carr clicked in before the injuries started…? I doubt he’ll come in this game that good, but HE’s gonna feel like this game is on him… no everyone’s out excuse permitted… they’re all back, can he make it happen and at what level…?

I’d run everything behind man cover on Taysom… if no Taysom cover Olave…
There both in, no problem make Rattler hit Olave on deeper routes…
Don’t let Rattler dump off to Taysom and get those 3-7 yd freebies…
Make him dump to Kamara (5-7 yds behind the line)… or dare him to throw over the top deep and gamble for him to give a rookie read mistake or two error for some crushing int’s etc.
