Ever wondered what it’s like to have a Major-winning PGA TOUR caddie by your side during a round of golf? Well, we did too. So, we teamed up with Paul Tesori, a caddie with 25 PGA TOUR wins under his belt, to find out. In this video, Golf Digest writer Shane Ryan, a 16 handicap, attempts to break 80 with Paul’s expert guidance—covering everything from choosing the perfect targets to reading tricky greens, and even delivering those crucial mid-round pep talks. Can Shane break 90 with a pro caddie on the bag? Let’s find out!

We gotta take the sticker off the driver shaft of we don’t deserve to sniff 80.
This is excellent content.
Great vid. I’m gonna say that’s 99% of the golfers out there. Most on a good day!
If Playing with strict rules, not fluffing the ball every bad lie like most do or forgetting (😇) the first ball off the tee that went in the woods, that was a pretty decent round for an average Joe player…
Cool vid for sure
Needs to smooth up his putting stroke. Slaps at the ball
By far one of my favorite video ideas so far.
Okay, so there is a camera?
This is a learning experience, okay,
I would like to see, ( not every shot, ) but
How about in the process of teaching,
Let the subject, like the man said earlier, let the subject tell you his thoughts, let them hit their shot, then
Let the caddie give his perspective, and let him try to hit that shot? Then,
On a miss hit, let him try a second one ball, in hopes to get the feeling, that, yes I can do this?
Sure, no problem, I volunteer.
And, if you have a problem with someone wearing two gloves, you would love me in my bib overall's.
this video helped so much honestly….'
I love the concept, what a good caddy can do do for the vibe is amazing. One thing i dont understand, if he is a 16hcp, schouldn‘t he been breaking 90 regularly?
30:26 you know shane and the rest of us is moving that ball over and not taking an unplayable with the boys
Classic American cheating. Hole 8 should've been a 5. Also the caddying was poor.
Yea maybe a little bit better but still average like 85-90 player
Please do this again
Great content. More of this please!
They might have been edited, but I didn't see a single practice swing before the shots.
the greens were hard or why every approach that landed on green rolled that much?
If he's actually a 16 handicap shouldn't he expect to break 90 every so often anyway?
Why do Americans insist on gimme putts. I've only watched the first hole and already considering turning it off. You're supposed to be teaching the guy how to score, the amount of putts inside 3 feet I see missed in amateur competitions is astonishing. No putts should ever be given.
if he's a 16, then I'm on tour
I was really rootin' for Shane on that fast breaking putt on 4. Then the approach on 5 his target was 35 feet right, but he actually lined up 20 feet left. His alignment–and his divot–told us exactly where the ball was going. Not a lack of talent or skill at all. It sounds like maybe Paul said something to correct this habit at some point. I love his teaching style. Fun video.
43:00 why not just hit a 7 then wedge it in?!?
The quarter zip and double glove in florida is wild
IN Golf who Record does every chase … Jack Nicklaus … Jack never let his caddy tell him what to do … Jack never traveled with a swing coach or anybody else much less a posse … Jack has said he met with a guy who wasn't a true swing coach as people think now a days once a year … otherwise he did it all himself … he has said guys today have way too many people on " Their Team" as they all like to say … I have been a Pro since the 70s … it is ridiculous the amount of outside interference a player has today.
Waste. Amateur / hacker dont have brain to understand nuances. if its a scratch golfer then its good
Cool video, the way he mentally brought you back after 9 was great, that’s a great lesson for most of us
This is why most people just need to go to the range and focus on ball striking
this one was for the people.
Hole 12 Paul should have told him he could get one club relief since the sprinkler box was in his putting line. He lost a stroke with deciding to chip it instead
What an excellent video! Who couldn't put themselves in your shoes and recognize the thinking/strategy each shot required, and in particular assessing the risk/reward of each shot. What a fun video to watch…that hour went FAST!
oh shane…
