  1. Yall make it really hard for a guest to speak. Let them tell the story uninterrupted, and then ask questions. I couldnt get through the whole story

  2. Ol Chuppacabra been tossing bucks in the cliff cracks since way back when! Lol 1:51:30 that got me! Haha this a wild story with MANY, mini plot twists involved. But I'm glad dude is optimistic in the midst of all the Adversity that he's faced. KEEP GOING DUDE!

  3. I agree! This was super hard to listen to because you would not let him tell the story without interrupting every 2 seconds!! Literally maybe 10 words and you have to interrupt this poor man! He was super patient because I just wanted you to be quiet so I can hear the story!

  4. Even Joe Rogan has said the secret to a great conversation is "listening".. Sometimes doing more listening than talking can be golden.
But great story by this man ! Might be the best Grizzly story since Hugh Glass 😮. Well…also the guy who shot himself as a Grizzly lunged at him while hunting with his Dad. Video right after the attack. 😮No movie about these could ever capture the reality…sheeesh.

  5. What a story!!! I'm so glad you have survived all the tests put before you. I have a son your age who has 15 years military backgrounds….army reservist now. Thank you for your service, Shane.. and I am glad you can openly talk about it.. I couldn't.. TRIGGER LOL I'm not a risk taker at all. I'm scared of planes. bears heights ..most people.. you name it… home is my safe zone.. unless im working as a healthcare professional myself… yes.. boring but safe, lol.. God bless. Thanks for sharing your story!!! AND compassion you felt for the bear!!YOUR PARENTS SHOULD BE VERY PROUD..BE safe

  6. Man, you guys need to take this guy on a hunt next season, what a legend, be well from australia brother

  7. I dont have time for a 2 hour podcast only to hear him talk about his son selling pigeons for the first 15 min…good God i just came here to hear about a bear mauling story

  8. Omg, I am reading your survival book, sitting in a cabin in the middle of nowhere Wyoming on vacation. And this pops up in my feed…subscribed!

  9. They go bear hunting and bring back a bear. I go bear hunting and bring back armadillo, coon, sparrow, and a buzz

  10. Dude, what are you talking about??? 3 seconds is enough time to draw and fire 5-6 rounds at a close target while hitting center mass! Granted your nerves and adrenaline would be a factor, but as far as 3 seconds being enough time to draw and fire? That's 2 seconds more than I need. With 3 seconds, you should be able to place 5-6 rounds at 10 yards easy. I'd suggest practicing with a firearm a little more often. Then actually CARRY IT while in grizzly country! 🤔

  11. I’ve had a couple “soft” encounters with grizzlies hunting in Wyoming, I think I prefer to avoid even those anymore 😅 what a story! Glad he’s made it through it.

  12. the story ab the rollover when he's RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of talking ab how the bear has his skull in his mouth and he thinks this is it, then the spray saves him…. WTF

  13. Crazy hearing someone talking about how hard it is to kill a nice buck in western Massachusetts while actively trying to kill a nice buck in western Massachusetts 😂

  14. Regarding the radiation from medical scans, ideally, a person should stay below 50 mSv (millisieverts) per year. A shoulder x-ray is between 0.01 to 0.03 mSv, so the doctors choosing not to perform one on a bear attack survivor is baffling.

  15. Good Lord y'all need to get to the point of the episode. Talk about disappointing having to listen to all this bs side talk that has no relation to the topic and asking off the wall questions every other word he makes has made this the worst interviewing podcast I've ever seen. Did y'all rip a bong before he came in? 😂 And cal, why are you explaining what he's telling us that's clear as day? We didn't need another person interrupting him every other word to tell us, "so you're triaging yourself" after he told us he was putting tourniquets on. yea, no shit.

  16. Nice to hear the whole story. I normally like Steven R. Dude you need to listen better.
Also listen and quit trying to be the star. The victim is the star of this podcast. Plus way too many jokes about this incident.
