Despite passing on Malik Neighbors with the 5th overall pick, the Los Angeles Chargers made strategic moves in the NFL Draft to bolster their roster. Jim Harbaugh surprised everyone by selecting Joe Alt in the first round, emphasizing the importance of offensive linemen as weapons. The Chargers then traded up in the second round to draft Lad McConkey and added depth to their wide receiver corps with Brenden Rice, son of NFL legend Jerry Rice. Is this the right path for the Chargers?

  1. Lay the foundation first and build through the draft, that’s how to turn a franchise around. Look at the lions they built the trenches and actually plan on using their rookies, multiple lower round guys have gone in there and scored starting position’s.

  2. There ain't much hard balls done in the last f**** 6 years that I didn't like not a Michigan fan not a chargers fan but I am a hardball fan….

  3. They didn’t draft the greatest receiver of all time. They drafted his son so stop it. Is the nfl turning into a daddy’s money league? The kid is good but don’t talk about him like he’s his father.

  4. Anyone that’s not a casual knows Roman and Harbaugh never take WR round 1. Joe Alt was so obviously the pick for them. And I’m not even a chargers fan.

  5. Don’t disagree with anything except when you said “arguably” the best wide receiver of all time. There is no argument, he is the best

  6. He did that, but he had nothing to do with creating or li long the O or D line, that team was formed and all they need was a QB, then they got Kap, he’s never created a team from the ground up in the NFL, and it took him 10 years to win a national championship, so we’ll see what happens, and his brother won a SB 10 years ago, and he didn’t draft Ray Lewis or any of their other best defenders, and he’s not done anything since, so we’ll see, lol

  7. Rice is not the greatest WR and is definitely not the 2nd greatest player of all time. There is this guy named Lawrence Taylor, that just entered the room.

  8. Trust Jim Harbaugh he literally won a championship with Michigan the chargers are going to be that team not this year but there Super Bowl is coming soon not now

  9. Watch that o line, he was a great pick. Scary to see what Justin will do when he has time to scan the field. Interesting. 🤔

  10. It’s like some remember the incomplete pass at 3 Rivers Stadium vs K. Greene/G. Lloyd & Co and assume Coach Jim is pass happy. 49ers had OL, UM too.

  11. He made a good pick. Teams should build from the line out. Cant do anything without a line on either side of the ball

  12. If you know football, you can’t say you were “surprised by this”. It’s Greg Roman’s offense, run, run and more runs.
Btw. Love you how you convenienlty didn’t bother to Ladd McConkey…the guy they picked before Brendan Rice..both very underrated picks too.

  13. Don't think ppl understand just how important Oline is…. You can get someone like Singletary or Zack Moss for next to nothing if u got a good Oline they will get the job done but as the NYG have shown even if u have a top3 rb they can't carry a bad Oline

  14. Here we are. Joe alt going 1 on 1 with max crosby and giving up 0 pressures. Herbert didnt have a great game and LAC was still able to win soundly. Bolt up⚡️⚡️⚡️

  15. One over looked fact is the Chargers also picked up free agent Joey Piktoni just last week. This team is loaded for bear. Now just stay healthy!

  16. What the Chargers did was lose to a mediocre Steelers and to the Chiefs despite having Jim Harbaugh as head coach.

Pack it up season is over.
